My weight is right around 200 +/- a few lbs depending on the day. I’d like to get up to 215-220 as the best competition especially at local shows is the 231 class and all the top 200s at nationals seemed to cut from about that anyway

Got the new formula of Power Thru+ today it has some great improvements. Taste is improved with less chalky after taste. I had great energy thru out my workout but hard to say after 1 training day.

Deadlifting Training feel the tension
Got to the gym and Evan was talking about doing some pulls from below the knee with the short strong bands. It was hard to even get them on I knew it was going to be fun… At the end of the day we weighed it all and it was 115lbs of tension at the pins and 250 at lockout fun…

working 5/3/1 with training max of 405 I plan to just go to 10 reps on the final set for the first cycle which has 20lb jumps every week 2nd cycle I might push the reps a little higher as my low back strengthens back up and gets conditioned for the high reps again.

Free hotel and entry fee is waived + some awesome prizes for 1-3rd so nice to do a contest where it really is about the athlete. This is the comp I did last year which qualified me. I’m WAY stronger now can’t wait to show it! Placed 1st in the 200s (won 4 out of 5 events) and was 1.5pts out of the lightweight overall with the winner having 40lbs on me

Log Presses, back at it
Felt a little weak going into training today, not tired or anything just were you have a day that it seems like your muscles won’t fire right. Decided to try my olympic shoes for pressing again, Think I will ditch them again. Didn’t like it

Also my quads have just felt sore all day not sure why. Walking a lot for my job through uneven soft ground today doesn’t help either.

The pick off the floor made it look like I was lifting 500lbs lol wtf Form was still solid which is a plus. Nice good quick shallow deep dipping down and under the bar efficient push jerk.
