Training DVDs in Australia

A question for any Aussies who have bought either the Magnificent Mobility DVD or any of Dan John’s DVDs.

Did you have any problems getting them into the country? How much did you pay in shipping and were there any extra taxes that I would need to know about when ordering?

Cheers,

Ben

Hey there Ben,

I have Magnificent Mobility and both Dan John DVDs.

Postage was not excessive, probably due to the size and weight, but I can’t remember how much. I believe you only have to pay tax on items worth over $1000, so unless they adjust the price somewhat, there will be no problem.

Most places generally write “gift” on the international postage stamp anyway.

No probs with any of them. They arrive very promptly.

All really good, definitely well worth the purchase.

Australia only claims GST on imports if it can get $50 out of you ie on a total value of items + postage of $500 +

Otherwise they do not bother.

Unless it is an item of clothing or footwear which gets a whopping 40% tax on it no matter what it costs.

DVDs etc… are usually very cheap to import the postage is quite small, they are small items. Books however start to add up and can be expensive to order in.

Dan John has videos??? where? please post link

Thanks guys for the info, looks like I won’t get hit with any nasty tax surprises!

Ben

All of Ian Kings videos come from Aus.
