Training Around an Injury

Hey CT or anyone I had accumulated damage to my medial meniscus through sports and further aggravated in the bottom of a front squat. The doctor believes it is a partial tear that will repair itself over 6weeks . He suggested to do bike work while my knee healed up. My question has to do with is it proper to workout my upper body hard while my leg heals. I do not want a major discrepancy in the size of my upper body to my lower body.

How have ppl rehabbed themselves after this injury and got back to squatting swiftly and safely?
