Train Through Pulled Glute?

Ok so I tweaked my lower back at work on Monday. I move furnitrue right now. Saw the Doc, he said to take some time off from work. I am wondering if I can still squat. I did so on wednesday for a personal record 3x5x205lbs (dont laugh, I haven’t back squatted heavy before !) and I pulled 3x5x235lbs on romanian deads.

It really didn’t bug me because I am not stooping over and rounding out my back. When I round out the back, it hurts. I have played around with some light stuff at home and it doesn’t hurt. I am doing the Rippetoe program and am in week two. I really wanna get four week outta this program before I take a light recovery week.

Suggestions ?

he’s right, especially in the second statement. Listen to your body and don’t be afraid to take some time off.

I wouldn’t do it. You know what the down side is to not training a couple days. You not know what training through a pulled muscle could lead to.

I agree.

However, I’m confused. Is it your glute or your lower back?

The doctor said it was both the spinal errectors and the left glute. It’s fine now.
