Here’s a guy I see at my gym here in Taiwan. He just walked into the gym about 5 mins beofre i took this so I now know that he doesn’t do any warm up before this.
If you look you’ll see that he thrusts his hips right off the bench, his left side is noticeably higher than his right but what you can’see until the last rep is how much he bounces it off his chest.
This was his first set…he always does about 2 or 3 mor3e, but with only about 2 or 3 reps and with more of an imbalance in the bar and with even harder bouncing off his chest.
And before anyone bugs me for my bench…I’m the guy that left the 4 plates on the rack before he came.
By the way…the bench is one with a rack (didn’t I say rack the first time?!) attached to it. That’s where I ‘left’ the plates. You can see that in the video…that I of course forgot to attach! Sorry again.

OK, I will let you off, but just this once!
Sorry, lots of people at my gym either don’t put their weights back or put them in the wrong place. I ended up grabbing the wrong plates last night for a set of power cleans because I was in an exertion induced fog and didn’t check. Really wondered where my strength had gone for a moment. Bastards!

really strange that you filmed this. why not help him rather than post him on the internet[/quote]
If I stopped to help everyone in my gym that did wacky stuff I’d need to get paid.
Also, yes, it is a little odd to film these people…but look at it this way…if you were my buddy who used the same gym as me, I’d tell you to come over and watch this guy do his bench like this…that’s normal, right? Well, you’re not here…so I filmed it for you.

So you’re saying you want random strangers to come up to you during your workout and tell you all the shit THEY think you’re doing wrong? I know I never wanted unsolicited advice.
He’s goofy, but he isn’t going to hurt himself too badly.
If I see some kid about to shoot a vertebra out of his ass from deadlifting wrong I’ll probably stop him but short of that it’s their business.
