Okay guys, haven’t posted in awhile but had to put this one out there.
Yesterday at work, these two guys were benching. Weight wasn’t that impressive enough to watch, but what caught my eyes were their technique. The guy benching had one foot up on the bench, and the other one on the ground. He did 5 reps, switched feet, and finished 5 more reps. I asked a guy who knew the two what they were doing. He told me, “When you have one foot up on the bench, you are working that side of your chest even more plus since you have one foot on the ground it makes you have to stabilize yourself more,” something along those lines. Oh yea, make sure you switch feet, you don’t want to be unbalanced.
never heard of it, never seen it.
They’re newbs. You need to add more weight to the elevated foot side of the bar. Jerks
i can just see dave tate ripping these dudes’ heads off. “why don’t you just learn how to fuckin’ bench?!?”

That’s because it takes a special kind of stupid to think it’s a good idea. You don’t find it just anywhere.
