Total Testosterone Dosage vs Increase of Testosterone Dosage

@hankthetank89 pretty much summed it up. I never really blasted and cruised back when I was partaking. I just reverted back to my TRT dose. However, most cruises are a moderate amount of Test, higher than TRT, but lower than full on cycle so you don’t take a step backward in muscle retention after you cycle. I find I can hold my mass now with as little as 120mg/wk. So I’m TRT for life, cycles were too risky for me and I never got the reward I was seeking.

Before getting into it, I think I had unrealistic expectations for what gear could do. Probably a combo of lying, genetic elites, and guys who make crazy gains, but shouldn’t be using gear yet because they aren’t developed.

I see it in buddies that haven’t run anything yet. Juice works, but they think 300 mg/wk is gonna get them a all sorts of gains, when it’s probably 5-10 lbs more than they could be natty and that’s if they run it for a long time.

The buddies that have been partaking a while now are much more in line with my experience. Even the couple that have exceptional genetics. They either give up or take a lot to really move the needle.

I believe a common problem is dosages and stuff thats not gear. We dont get enough examples of 5 grams and more + 20iu gh a day and insulin with every meal 6 times a day for 3 years. We get mostly 500mgs of test for 12 weeks followed by 3 months of no gains.

You may be right. Another forum I’m on has a lot of guys that use very heavy dosages and they are much bigger. However, over half of them are true competitors. TNation seems to be more of a hobbyist crowd.

Yeah, I’ll say that everyone I know that looks like they are on steroids is on a lot of steroids. I know a handful of guys that have done a few 500 mg/wk cycles and they all pretty much look like naturals.

3 months of losing the gains is more what I’ve seen.

The more research i do, what i see is that the doses most people take dont do shit and the lengths of blasts are too short to do shit.
If you get on a gram of test for 12 weeks you maybe get like 6 weeks worth of gains followed by 3 months on maintenance on a cruise at best. How much tissue can u put on in 6 weeks twice a year? Yep…not much.
Guys who gain, they blast 1,5-3 grams at minimum + other shit and they blast for like 2-3 years straight at start - thats how these transformations are made. And later maybe 9 months on, 3 months cruise.

@hankthetank89 Still, I couldn’t imagine the side effects I would deal with if I ever had tried those dosages. We are all unique of course, but my side effects were always present even with moderate doses. Libido problems, mood, joints etc. I’m hoping I don’t have long term consequences from my ‘play time’. Either way I’m definitely bigger as a result, but will never have size plus that lean paper-thin skin look.

Sure we all are different and some people get sick by taking 250mgs also.
All i know is that in last 3 years i have gained as much muscle as i did in 12 years before, and out of these last 3 years i have been blasting for 2 at least 1,5grams.
Sure i also push food in a lot more, but i am sure that i could be at least 300lbs on the lean side, if i did this since i was like 18, instead of getting my mind right only after i hit 30.

I think it would be better if people understood this. To know that to look like you are on sauce, you have to actually be on sauce in large amounts for long periods (unless you’re a freak, maybe?).

I remember thinking a few years ago that I could maybe get like 75% of the results on 20% of the dose of the big guys. That didn’t pan out.

I am good just with an athletic / built by normal standards look. Don’t need to be huge or 6% BF. For that reasonable cruise (TRT doses) and reasonable blasts can get me there, and I can maintain mostly with cruise.
