Hi guys/gals
I’m working on losing some fat know and got a quick question in that matter: is it the day-to-day caloric intake that matters, or is it the TOTAL amount during my 5 day work-out cycle that matters? Let’s say I should get 2000 calories a day - is it more important for me to get 10.000 calories in 5 days, and don’t pay much attention to my day-to-day intake, or should I get equal amount of calories (more or less) each day?
Example: the other day I was, for some reason, hungrier than usual and ended up eating 400kcal more than I should have (2000 a day was my plan) - the next day I cut down 400kcal from 2000, ended up eating 1600kcal. Is this a way to go or is it cruical to get the same amount of calories (more or less) each day?
Help appreciated

Fab: Great question. IN GENERAL TERMS, its the WEEKLY total thst is most important, but you BETTER BE CAREFUL! Fat cells are efficient little bastards, ready to not only process and store fat (that’a their metabolic and genetic purpose), BUT they also DO NOT like to give up fat (and additional water) once it’s processed and stored; (much too energy inefficient). So, don’t worry too much about a “lapse” here and there; no biggy…but your best keeping your diet real and tight…
Fab, as long as you don’t go too far overboard on any one day, you’ll be fine. Everyone varies in their day-to-day caloric intake, and your example (400 over and under your target) is well within the acceptable range. What is that range? Depends on the individual. But generally, I’ve noticed that up to about 500 cals one way or the other is okay. Of course, the only way to really find out for yourself is to try different cal intakes and watch very very closely in the mirror. GOod luck!
