Calorie Question

I was thinking about this:

Whats the difference between a 2000 calorie diet and getting 200 grams of protein and 200 carbs per day

Vs.

3000 calorie diet and getting 200 grams of protein and 200 grams of carbs?

difference = 1000 k/cals or roughly 111g of fat.

That 111g of fat extra would also be on top of the 22g required to reach the 2000 k/cal mark.

A 2000 cal diet with 200g protein and 200 carbs would require 45g fat. A 3000 cal diet with 200g protein and 200g carbs would require 155g fat.

What type of diet are you trying to be on? What are your goals? Either way, a 3000 cal diet is considered small around here. A 2000 cal diet is considered anorexic.

I’m trying to get more lean. I’m at about 19 or so % BF. I went from 207 to 198 on the scale over the past month. I know I lost more than that in fat though. My lifts are still going up, and I’m trying to figure out would it be easier or harder to get rid of my lil extra fat by eating about 2000 calories a day with roughly 200+ grams of protein and 100-150 carbs daily. Its working so far, but is there a way to do it better?

the best way to do it will be figure out what YOU need. better to go slow in the process of droping intake then go to far. Unless you dont mind wrecking your metabolism and losing a ton of LBM in the process.

Eat and find what level has you losing 1-2 lbs a week. On the low end for sure if you are new to training as you are likely gaining muscle changing body comp at the same time. Find that level and stick to it untill it doesnt work then lower intake a bit or add in a bit more activity.

Pay attention more to the mirror and how clothes fit then that damn scale.
