Took a Week Off

ouch. i recently took a week off… it started with a cold, and i had some paperwork to do so i decided to take a week off…

started up again this monday, and had a really good leg workout. it’s now wednesday, and i’m SORE as hell.

it’s funny how 1 week totally knocks you off. usually i’m not sure at all, just minor. and my lifts were a little sub-par :frowning:

I know what you mean about the soreness. I find it as a positive to a week off though. I begin to miss it somewhat.

Also, remeber that this state of slight deconditioning can result in some good gains in size and strength.

I will be the first to admit that I dont take a break often enough. When I do though I always seem to make good progress upon return. Sore progress but good.

hehe, yeah, i must admit, it was tough… but feels good now. i THINK i’ve grown a bit during that week. just kept loading up on proteins and food. sleeping in and just relaxing.

i guess i’ll start doign this every 2 months or so.
