John: Sunday, while doing my weekly diet and workout “fine tuning”,I re-read “Massive Eating” and “Appetite For Construction”. It appeared to me that Massive Eating with caloric deficit and increased cardio/Nutrient Partitioning represents an excellent regimen for not only weight gain BUT ALSO WEIGHT LOSS! Am I missing something? Is the reason for using things like the Fat Fast and T-Dawg (as opposed to Massive Eating with additional cardio and caloric deficit) because weight loss is more RAPID? Is it simply a matter of choice? Or is it a little of both? It seems like Massive Eating and it’s derivations can be utilized irregardless as to our goals (ie weight loss OR weight gain). Again, am I off in my thinking?
Mufasa, as you know, the massive eating guidelines with a lower calorie count worked for me. I think the meal combination philosophy of this plan is outstanding. Also, in a recent thread, JMB suggests keeping all carb + protein meals together during say the first half of your day and protein + fat meals in the second half for weight loss. For gains, mix them up throughout the day.
