"If there is interest, I can put up a crash course (with glossary of research terms, perhaps) from the material I’ve used to initiate university students into reading research. It could easily cover and organize the comments presented here (e.g. sample size requirements and statistical power, VERY basic stat equations, conflicts of interest, control variables, peer review, delimiters, yada, yada, yada.
After teaching undergrad and graduate courses literally called “Experimental Methods” and “Scientific Inquiry”, it would be a cut-and-paste endeavor!
