I guess nothing ever “happened” before the 1820’s.

they had muralists back then.
Touche. : )

What does “fittest guy in the gym” mean?

Biggest guy in the gym gives a good description. You assume the person is pretty big…but “fittest” means what? He has the best blood pressure reading? His resting pulse rate is really low?

This is a bodybuilding forum. Unless he has really big muscles from this training program, I must be missing something.

I felt that way about Practical Programming. Great freaking book with proven results. Just a tried and true approach.

Ha he would be most fittest to survive on a desert island.

It’s a little ironic though that you say this program has “proven results” since (as was mentioned above) it’s only been out for maybe a couple of months. That’s not a very long period of time for a program (any program) to prove itself.

“Results” is also a somewhat subjective term. In this case being the “fittest guy in the gym” isn’t exactly stellar results if the program is titled “Huge in a hurry”.

Now, if the program was titled “Fittest guy in the gym in a hurry”, well, then maybe. ;)
This was the first thing that came to my mind. If he was the ‘fittest’ (leanest? skinniest? LaBuffiest?) guy in the gym after this program, then he was probably ‘that’ (or damn near it), whatever ‘that’ is, before this program was published.

Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Doing some sort of pressing movement on top of a giant yoga ball using 20lb DBs. Now that’s hardcore carnal! Harder than my 4 reps with the 140lbers. I’m like totally unfunctional

“Get Relatively Huge in a Hurry Compared to a Prepubescent Girl”

See, change the name and you eliminate these issues. So there!

“Not Underdeveloped In A Moderate Time-Span”

“How To Not Be Sedentary”

“Walking”

“One Set of 15 Pushups and a Glass of Water”

Right guys; the woman has no right to like a particular physique because she’s not a bodybuilding judge and has a different vision of what a fit-looking guy looks like. She also has to walk on literary egg shells; that is, she shouldn’t use the word fit. Perhaps ripped or jacked would be more appropriate for you.

She’s also not allowed to give a compliment to a fitness author.

Oh, and that guy can’t be fit unless he’s an NPC behemoth or possible future IFBB pro.

 1. This IS a bodybuilding forum…so if someone claims they saw “the fittest guy in the gym” and that his “fitness” shows a certain program works, why would you have a problem with people questioning not only what “fittest guy in the gym” actually means, but also how this says anything about the program since the program itself is fairly new?

 2. This isn’t about the compliment. If she wanted to give compliments with no one else responding, then she should have sent a private message. Otherwise, that opens the topic up for group discussion.

 3. You are the one that seems to have the problem with this as she hasn’t responded to the questions raised.

Fair points, PX.

However, I haven’t chosen to question her on it because I’m assuming I know what she means. She means that she thought the guy looked good, plain and simple.

And I’m not saying this to be condescending towards her, but she probably doesn’t know where the people on this forum are coming from and/or might not have extensive knowledge or insight in all things bodybuilding and fitness.

One thing matters here…muscular development. Her post doesn’t tell us anything about that and it definitely doesn’t warrant a post about how an author’s program works when that program couldn’t be responsible for how some guy who is “the fittest guy in the gym” looks right now.

If people don’t want anyone pointing that out, then they should stop posting in public forums where people who can think on their own can respond.

Here we go again. This IS a bodybuilding forum last time I checked. A couple of us are gunning for 300 motherfucking lbs. To me a “fit” guy is a guy with nice abs, weighs no more than 180lbs (and that pushing it) and rarely trains his lower body because he doesn’t want to get too bulky or unfunctional. He has no place in a bodybuilding forum, IMO. Where we are going it isn’t a motherfucking bodyparts contest.

I don’t think her point was ‘Huge In A Hurry is the best’, I think it was more along the lines of
Krissa wrote:
he chose ONE program that had proven results and followed it. He didnt decide 2 weeks into it to add 10 miles of running each week and more shoulder exercises, and maybe some more tri work.
This was probably directed at the guys who change their pre-made programs every time someone says something works.

Come on Brick, we’re not allowed to bust her chops a little because she’s got boobies and a who-ha? :stuck_out_tongue:

Would you have responded the same way if it was a 130 lb guy who posted this thread?

You’re right she has the right to like any type of physique she wants, and she’s got the right to give a shout out to any author she wants. But come on, we’re a bunch of wise crackin red blooded males on this site, it’s not like we wouldn’t have responded the same way if she was a dude or like we were being uncharacteristically harsh to her.

I even gave her kudos for making a good point about sticking to a program and busting your ass on it.

I say credit to her and her husband David for building a fortune of more than 100 million between them.

I also enjoyed her two albums Spice and Spiceworld.

Sometimes people thinking for themselves can be the problem…it can be foolish to assume you know it all

You read, you ask people who are experienced at what you’re trying to do, and you use your own common sense to determine what is useful to you and what is not. There are people here who have been at this for 10+ years, and yet say they are still learning. Do you think the advanced people on this board would have gotten to where they are by reading one book, then following the info in that book for their entire lifting careers?

There is a difference between thinking for yourself, and thinking you know it all.
we can go bsck and forth on this all day long. he took a program and is doing it, hard by the op reasoning. he will make more gains then more people picking up the bodybuilding magazine and all the retards that switch programs every month.

dont knock the guy. as long as he takes the program, adapts, and grows who gives 2 shits if he has done is research, knows who chad, tnation, elite, westside, etc are as he is doing more then most people.

dont be a dick.

It does? I think I could also assume he was merely the fattest fuck in the gym as well.
