Ok, good to hear it. Yep, I must’ve just missed it.

Texas needs more red blooded Americans. The Californians have moved there and poisoned it with their liberal ways. I just can’t accept that society believes a person deserves something simply because they exist. They deserve the opportunity to pursue something - to earn it. Nothing more.
I’ve heard Austin is called the Los Angeles of Texas
What do you know about the rest of it? I’ll ask @ChickenLittle too, since she lives there.

MTS chest press
- 50 x 15
- 65 x 7
- 80 x 4
- 90 x 2 x 8
- 90 x 7, 70 x 6, 50 x 6, supersetted with
DB rows, unsupported
- 55 x 10
- 65 x 6
- 75 x 4 x 10
Pec deck
- 115 x 11, 8
350 sets of
- Lateral raises - 20 x 45
- Single triceps DB extensions - 30 x 40
- DB curls - 35 x 40
All the Smith machines were taken, so I called an audible. This workout felt really good; the MTS chest press has a great ROM and lends itself to drop sets.
I know Austin use to offer signing bonuses for police officers to move there and work for them. They just cut their police budget due to the idiots demanding to defund the police. It’s going to go to crap in a hurry (see Minneapolis).
I noticed that the election wasn’t a landslide in favor of red like it used to be.
That’s not something I would’ve expected in Texas! It’s worse than I presumed. Big cities aren’t my cup of tea anyways, but that’s really saddening.
Way too many Californians here. They screwed up their state and want to screw up ours. Autstin is horrible. Two women went and bought cans of gas and set fire to a homeless encampment in their neighborhood. No one got hurt and as far as I know haven’t been caught. I am in no way condoning what they did, it was horrible, but people are getting tired of it. It’s that big of a problem now.
I used to say that I’m moving south if the US splits and Kansas doesn’t end up with Texas. It’s not true anymore. Suddenly Oklahoma is the patriotic state.
And lots of other western, right-leaning states. It seems intentional and coordinated.
Do they affect the more rural areas or other large cities?
Exactly. Texas was a bastion of traditional American values and lifestyle, as were several other Midwest and western states. I briefly considered Oklahoma but that was long ago. Maybe I should revisit it.
More in Dallas than Houston, but Austin is the mecca. More like San Francisco than LA. I live out in redneck country and we have a few here but rest assured when push comes to shove there are still more of us than there are of them. Most of the problems come from outside sources.
Years ago somebody used and old telephone pole to make a big cross. A volunteer organization puts Christmas lights on it and its a big white cross lit up down by the river. This is a religious thing and nothing more. Last year a lady just passing thru saw it and immediately proclaimed we were a bunch of racists. Made a huge stink that it should be taken down. The powers that be put even more lights on it and it is still standing bright.
The majority ( can’t rule the occasional nut job) are just good people, imported or domestic.
Based on your views, north seems like a better choice. You got 3 red states in a row straight above you (NE, S.D., N.D.), at least two of which have tons of “wilderness” and a couple more rural ones right on the side of those (MT, WY).
Seems like a better bet, haha.
But it gets colder up there and I don’t like the cold much.
@ChongLordUno can you tag me in your log, mate? I’ve searched but can’t find it. My phone’s been acting weird lately (it deleted a post I’d just written) so I’m thinking your log got hidden or something. Thanks!

Their response. Is. Epic.
Rural and smaller-city Texas sounds pretty good still.
I have my eye on all those states, plus a couple others. Since I LOVE cold and snow, they’re logical choices. I’ve applied for a number of jobs in them, but nothing has come through yet. Still looking, applying, and praying!
This looks like a running pace! ![]()
I’ve made my plan for my career but I don’t know the timing. For now, if a job opportunity comes along then I’ll apply. If I get it then the timing is right. If not then it’s not.
Most school jobs are filled in the spring/summer so there’s a gap from the time you’re hired and the time you start. That gives me flexibility. I don’t have to quit my job to pursue another and I can plan it so that I barely miss a paycheck.
I tagged you matey
