TnT's Forward Momentum!

The news here is that things are especially grim in Italy. How are you doing, Mort?

How are y’all doing now, J?

Time will tell for sure. Hopefully everything levels out with minimal damage in ever regard. How’re you doing?

Doing okay, man. Mostly just bored, but if that’s the biggest problem I have to deal with then I’ll consider myself lucky.

Yes, absolutely. I think that’s a good attitude to have!

I’m good. Italy, Spain, France are bad, England and Germany things start to spice up.
On the other hand our neighbor country Sweden, they are not doing much so it’ll be interesting to see if letting people just go on with daily living is/was the way to go. We’ll see in a month or so.
Hope things are fine at your end.

I’m glad you’re doing well, Mort. Things are ok here right now, just hunkering down to weather the storm. I agree, it’ll be interesting to see how things go for Sweden!

We’re good but I’m not enjoying the part where I can’t go see my parents and grandparents. If this virus hits one of them then it could be fatal (most likely not, but it’s possible). I kind of want to spend time with them if this is their last year on Earth.

My wife is already getting worn out by the kids. They just don’t leave her alone.

I agree about not wanting to forego seeing my family. Conversely, I don’t want to inadvertently expose my parents or others to the virus. I think there’s a balance in this mess.

The Bible says (paraphrased), “The prudent see danger coming and take shelter from it.” I translate that to washing my hands regularly, staying six feet away from strangers in public, and so forth. I counterbalance tht with not panicking or giving into a hysterical emotional state.

Speaking of which, how’re y’all coping without school?!

The kids and my wife are hanging in there. Everyone seems to go through a phase of cabin fever and crankiness.

I’m lucky my wife is a teacher so she can keep the kids occupied in constructive ways.

I’d say your kids are lucky too, since you and your wife seem to value creating constructive time uses for your kids instead of parking them in front of a screen for 10+ hours a day, every day.

I think my daughter would do this if we let her.

Haha it seems every family has that person or two who’d be completely content to live mostly in front of a screen.

In my family that would be me (and my boys of course but they are around 20 years old)

That’s surprising! You were a competitive bike racer, you play badminton regularly, lift weights lots, go for motorcycle tours with your friends… I don’t see you as a total screen addict

Ohh trust me, if I didn’t do those things I’ll be sitting in the couch eating junk food and drinking coca cola.
