Cool Down: LISS – 15% Incline
0.5 Miles, 10:00, 132 Cals
Comments: Yesterday, our son randomly came down with a 104 degree fever. By midnight it was gone. I have to say, that it scared us… Other than that, he had no other symptoms.
Metcon: Pretty decent metcon sandwiched between some LISS. Can you tell I’m trying to loose weight? By the end of that Cool Down, I had about 8” in the middle of the treadmill belt that wasn’t completely drenched. I had to walk in that 8” because the sides were too slippery…
That’s scary about your son. Kids are resilient though. Glad to hear he is doing better.
Nice liss work yesterday. Solid cal dump there.
That metcon looked legit. That was a ton of work put in in that short of time!
Thanks Shane. Yeah, kids never cease to amaze me…

Bro Work

8 Zercher Squats, 65 lb
8 Straight Bar Curls, 65 lb
10 Push-ups on the Barbell

Stats: 8:50, 119 Cals, 152 BPM
Comments: Was running short on time this morning so I busted out a 5K and then blew through some bro work. (Ha ha, finally got some bro work in in the tiny garage!) We leave for Wilmington tomorrow and will be there all next week as my daughter has to start school. We will be in a condo at the beach while our house is being worked on. So I may just stick to running/surfing/conditioning next week and will then hopefully resume lifting in the new garage the week after next.
Nice pace on that 5K Trent! Fun bro day in the garage today as well. ![]()
I am jealous of you getting away to the beach! Have a blast man. Drink some beers and eat some seafood for me!
Thanks Shane! Don’t tempt me buddy.

Conditioning: Distance Run. Outdoor. Paved
4.30 Miles, 35:35, 8:16 Pace, 556 Cals, 159 BPM
Comments: I’ve really tried to tighten up on the diet this week and it shows as a few pounds have come off. I’m planning to take next week off and will only have running and surfing available as conditioning. The waves are actually pretty awesome right now so I’m hoping to paddle out when we get down there this afternoon.
Run: That was a good run to close out my many, many runs in Cary. Cloudy with temps in the mid 70’s and a light NW wind. Stopped at 4.3 miles as I needed to get home and get ready to head South. Hope you all have a great weekend!
Another awesome pace on that run Trent. Bitter sweet final run I am sure but time to make new memories on a new route.
Have a blast at the beach!
Thanks brother!

Conditioning: Stroller Run. Outdoor. Paved
4.30 Miles, 43:39, 10:08 Pace, 573 Cals, 148 BPM
Comments: Woke up at the butt crack of dawn to go surf but it wasn’t that good, so I opted for a stroller run with my son instead. We are in a condo at Wrightsville Beach, so it is ridiculously flat here. We both enjoyed it a lot. I have to say that I didn’t pass one other person running with a stroller. Must be nothing but school and daycare for people around here. Ha ha…
Hope you all have a good day!
Stroller run ftw! I actually used to like running with the stroller, it gave me something to lean on when I about passed out.

Hey Trent, I found you brother. ![]()
I saw Shane’s last post on bb.com and it said you guys were over here. I had an account here from a while back so I figured when in Rome, etc…
Seriously, though, it’s good to see you still doing your thing. I plan to be active on here, so I’ll follow along and keep up with what you’re doing.
Ha ha ha… I hate it. It forces me to shift my center of gravity forward, which puts more force on my knees and other areas… I can see the benefit in using it to keep form passing out though. ![]()
Howdy Greg! Man, it’s like a reunion over here!
Glad to see you again brother and I hope you have been well. Trying to do my thing the best I can during this period of transition. Looking forward to checking on your journal and seeing what you’ve been up to! ![]()
Nothing but running down here at the beach this week. I don’t have much to work with for a metcon so I am just beating up my knees…
8/26/21:
Conditioning: Distance Run. Outdoor. Paved/Sand.
3 Miles, 26:33, 8:50 Pace, 377 Cals, 150 BPM
Comments: Have to check out of the condo this morning so I didn’t have a lot of time for this one. Ran a big loop from our condo which consisted of half pavement and half sand. My legs were pretty torched for this one as this is way more running than I’m used to this week.
8/25/21:
Conditioning: Distance Run. Outdoor. Paved
4.2 Miles, 34:18, 8:10 Pace, 530 Cals, 167 BPM
Comments: Had to try to move through this pretty quickly as I was running late to meet my boss in Myrtle Beach. Maintained a pretty good pace. I did this run around “the loop at Wrightsville Beach. It was nice to see so many other people out running and walking on a beautiful morning.
Couple of nice runs Trent. Nice way to torch some cals man. Outdoor on a beautiful day. Sounds perfect.
Thanks Shane. My feet and knees are not digging the multi-day runs… We are back at our apartment in Raleigh now and I hope to get one last metcon in tomorrow morning in the tiny garage. Then we move to Wilmington for good on Saturday.
Almost got thrown in jail in Myrtle Beach the summer '72. I was 17. Later went in an out of Mrytle Beach AFB TDY many times. Nice place, great for swimming.Fond memories.
I think we’ve all almost been to jail in MB at one point or another…
It is a pretty cool place. Way too busy for me, but cool nonetheless.
