On a serious note…this is the kind of thing I am on-board with.
“Medicaid-for-all” (Warren/Sanders) sounds as scary and as crazy as blowing up the whole system and replacing it with…nothing??? (the GOP/Trump approach)…
My dad ships his companies products with USPS and FedEx globally. He’s got some hella good horror story from both of them.
He actually prefers USPS but only because his top 2 products happen to coincide with their fit/ship whatever. Delivery quality isn’t much better.
Yeaaaa but this is true of UPS and FedEx as well. I have distro centers for both in my metro. It’s basically endless turnover of low quality college students.
I don’t know if I’d call it a problem. To my knowledge they’re not really struggling to fill the turnover. The wages aren’t terrible given the low skill and they always set up shop offering tuition assistance at the local colleges.
Plus it’s northern Ohio. Our illegal immigrants are mostly Canadian.
Better find some Republicans to propose the bill (Lololololol). Dems are so all in on single payer we’ll probably blow right past the increased Medicaid exit.
In another case of ‘right for thee, not for me’, hypocrisy, AOC is now being sued for blocking twitter followers. This hearkens back to the case against the President, that since he is a public figure and publishes policy commentary through twitter, by the mighty first amendment, he cannot block anyone. Everyone has to have access. Trump fought the case and lost and lost on appeal.
Now fast forward to AOC, who supported the court ruling at the time, is now in the cross hairs of pretty much the same people. She has 3 lawsuits pending and many more once the wind catches this and spreads it some more.
In the end, the poor baby is going to have to endure “hate speach” (i.e. people that disagree with her) and there is nothing she can do about it except close her twitter account.
So the individual can’t block anyone, but the administrator can - because they have a sign up saying “We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.”
@pfury this is like the press credential case. President is not required to hold news conferences. But if he does, he can’t rescind passes without some sort of guidelines, hearing, and written summary.
l guess l can get a pass for treco times and they have to allow me in, because refusal would be denial of freedom of press and/or 5th A violation.
She’s just a child and acts like one. She picked a fight with Crenshaw where she accused him of surrounding himself with domestic abusers, as an argument for gun control. It was weird, and irrelevant, but weird nonetheless.
And don’t forget, @pat…that Talib and Omar thought that they could somehow outsmart and out-maneuver a Political Grand-Master like Benjamin-Freakin’-Netenyahu…
That’s is actually a very good point. Whether or not you like BiBi, anyone who has spent any time really listening to him, he’s a rare kind of genius. I remember him and Obama tangling it up and Obama was just simply out classed intellectually. And Obama, whether you like him or not, is also a very smart guy.
Putin is a mad scientist. Definitely smart, but with an intrinsic tint of evil. His moves in Syria were very smart for Russia and Syria’s Assad. So much so, that he was happy to let the U.S. deal with ISIS, while propping up and restoring Assad’s dictatorship, now a patsy of the Russian government.
