So in 6 weeks if I eat right I should expect significant weight gain.
6 weeks means 2 cycles right. I really didn’t get what you mean by eat to support training. Does that mean eat at maintenance or eat to gain like 2 lbs a week? Uhhhh idk
If you are meaning to extrapolate that from my example, no. I ran it for longer than 6 weeks.
Eat to support training means eat so that you recover from your training. Bodyweight gain is immaterial to that.
You stayed on regular bbb longer. But then you said I should run beefcake for 6 weeks. I shouldn’t milk the program until it stops working? Ik you mentioned other programs after that. Are those other programs more suited to my goals that I should only stay on beefcake for 6 weeks then move on to monolith and so on?
Or is beefcake is a 6 week program? I couldn’t find that on the blog.
I’ve said Beefcake is a 6 week program. Because it is. When you look it up on Jim’s site, it runs for 2 cycles.
I can only say what I would do: not what you should do. I’m not a coach. But were I in your situation, I’d run BBB Beefcake for 6 weeks, deload, Building the Monolith for 6 weeks, deload, then Deep Water beginner and Deep Water intermediate back to back.
Obviously I’m gonna listen to you cause you’re big and strong asf. Thank you lol.
Hm…
This is entirely believable, from memory you’ve not lifted anything heavy for a significant time. These things don’t drop back in place overnight. I stopped lifting for 3 years and it put me back to essentially square 1.
I try to find the positive. Ever think “if I’d known then what I know now”? This is your chance to find out if that’s true.
Also: I can’t recommend highly enough following @T3hPwnisher advice. He’s given me several bits of advice over the years and every time I’ve committed to his advice, it’s worked like a miracle.
Sorry I kind’ve screwed with the program. Switching the days I’m supposed to squat and press. I didn’t think i would have enough time to finish squats.
Press
60 lbs x 5 reps 70 lbs x 5 reps 80 lbs x 5 reps
5x10 60 lbs
Assistance: to be done after doctors appointment idk if this is prohibited lol.
50 reps of abs and 25 reps of single leg for each leg.
Its done in between the sets of 5x10, as Jim wrote in the article.
Welp I’m an idiot and can’t read.
This is the kind of thinking that I think will help you. You found a problem, you found a solution, you got the work done.
Exactly
Squat
130x5 150x5 170x5
130 3x10 1x4
I felt dizzy and lightheaded on the 4th set I thought I was gonna pass out so I decided to stop.
I think I need to eat more. My diet has been garbage lately.
Kinda bummed out about it.
Do you really not see the irony of posting a picture of Bear Grylls and immediately after being like “the workout was hard so I stopped”
Seriously. Feeling exhausted from hard training isn’t a bug: it’s a feature.
Supplemental is hard. I will do better next week.
