Titan Tim Tackling his Twenties

but it’s easy dude just power through

Weight room opens this week. Boom cant find my squat shoes. Maybe my dad threw em out on accident or my brother took them to college. Either way I’m very irate. Those shoes were key to mastering squat form. WHY!!! I GET SICK AND NOW THIS!!!

They’re not. You can squat with flat soled shoes. Don’t be a victim.

No.

Your successes are down to you, not your shoes. Don’t subcontract your success or failure.

I squat barefoot. If you think elevated heels are key, then you seriously gotta work on ankle mobility. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later

It’s the forward lean that sucks.

The forward lean isn’t because of flat soles. It’s because a lack of ankle mobility is causing you to sit back more, and your forward lean is compensating for that. @whang is correct - ankle mobility is key.

To build on what flap said, are you letting your knees travel forward? because if you’re not letting them travel forward enough, you’re gonna have to sit back more, thus will have more forward lean. You’re gonna end up with a squat morning pattern. But in order for you to let your knees travel forward a healthy distance, you’re gonna have to have the appropriate ankle mobility.

I don’t have the credentials to back up what I’m saying but maybe these two people do

Specifically what Pollack says at 6:20 onwards

Thanks whang. I don’t particularly have a video on my technique. But i let my knees travel. Shoes put me in a more upright position. It’s just more comfortable

Worked on finding my training max today:

Squat: 235lbsx1 for a pretty smooth single
Bench: 190 lbs x 3

85% tm
Bench-180
Squat-200

I’m proud of my bench considering it’s a weak lift cause of my long arms which = greater distance. I picked up on bench form quicker than squat last year. I’m going to improve the heck outta my squat this year.

These are my goals for the program (basically last weights i’ll do on it lol)

Bench
180x5
135 5x10
Squat
210x5
165 5x10
Deadlift
255x5

190 5x10

So this will make me bigger and stronger if I have consistent eating. I’m just wondering by how much. We will find out won’t we.

Got my lifting shoes back. Bad news is I think I have vertigo.

There’s also a National Honor Society meeting on Monday cutting my gym time by 30 minutes. It’s the assistance I’m worried about not being able to finish. But that’s ok I have a plan. I’ll just ask the head wrestling coach to stay a little longer if needed. He respects me cause of what I do. I fist bump him everytime I see him. Lol I wonder what more inconveniences will show up in the future.

This is a bad mindset.

Yo Mr.Pwnisher what results did you get on bbb beefcake. Dude I feel so weak after finding my Tms last week. It’s like I lost almost everything I gained especially in deadlifting.

Beefcake wasn’t around when I ran BBB. When I ran BBB, I put on 12lbs without intending to and had so radically transformed my physique that one of my wife’s co-workers thought she had gotten divorced and remarried in the time between he had last seen me.
