Only things I missed were pickled red onions, spinach/lettuce and horseradish sauce.
There was definitely a lot of self sabotaging which the whole āeat burgers everyday for lunchā thing. It was too extreme and quite frankly, my burgers tasted awful, so back to fast food I went.
Same thing happened with the whole canned food thing 2-ish years ago.
Outstanding list for sure. No point in trying to fit a square peg in a round hole with the burgers every day approach. It works for some. Iām that guy: I had the same exact lunch for all 4 years of high school, and not only did I not mind: I looked forward to it every day! Haha. But for most, variety is the spice, and if you can find a way to make that work while still presevering your time (which is where time management goes a long way), good on you.
This will always be here, figuring out how to manage the new noise and doubt is the key! It seems like youāve slain what has come at you so far though, so Iām positive youāll get through future challenges too.
Yay! Congratulations, that is exciting! Iāll forgive you for going to the dark side of the GCās. That is awesome to have that lined up and waiting for you. You are going to learn so much.
Thank so much unicorn. Hah Hah yeah Iāll be the big bad general contractor. No ticket work for you and no more change orders! You must follow this ridiculous critical path schedule! Make sure you have a permit and safety plan!

This week is one of those weeks where everything seems to fall on this specific week.
-Way too much homework
-Have a couple bids due to this week at work.
3 Interviews:
Summer Internship @ Large Union Electrical Contractor
Project Engineer @ General Contractor (For possible leverage to negotiate a higher salary with the gc that already offered me, but ironically they pay higher)
If some bs happens and I somehow screw myself out of my current offer Iāll have another one as back up. Steel sub wants to offer me too which is cool. I think negotiating would be a good learning experience.
Remote Spring Accounting/Bookkeeping Internship @ Some Construction/Real Estate Firm
I want to finish out the spring semester like a champion and never stop learning.
Was offered yesterday afternoon by the other general contractor I interviewed with.
The offer isnāt better than the first one I got, itās all good.
Iām confident Iāll be offered by the electrical sub for a summer internship. My lease ends July 28th maybe itās possible to do one if not, no worries.
One more interview next week with a large general contractor and itās like 6 hours long (talk to 4 people, site visit, lunch with project team).
My mind is already made up, gonna go with the very first offer from the mid size gc regardless.
Iām thinking of reaching project manager level with a general contractor (roughly 5 years), save up money, and then get an apprenticeship with a union. Iām thinking plumbingā¦idk why.
