Food porn!! Mmmm…Nothing like a good day of skiing to rev up the appetite right?

Looking super hot in that 2-piece and boots Kimba. I covet those abs woman!

Nice Hotel training too. Your discipline astounds.

xx!

print, the boots really don’t make that outfit but I just couldn’t face walking barefoot through the ice and cold. I am hoping that my next bikini shoot will take place in warmth and sunshine.

I think that pic would fit in nicely w/the SI swimsuit issue coming out next week. Boots or barefoot it’s a sexy pic. Delicious looking figure.

Since you can’t get to the warmth & sunshine, I bring the warmth & sunshine to you…

mmmm, thanks for the food porn…of course you look tasty too!

That breakfast would have left me feeling quite ill, actually! I don’t do well with things like waffles, syrup and buns, tasty as they are. But it looks good (not as good as you though!)

That’s a good look for you. Well, that is to say, I took a good look…a good long look.

yessir.

Lucky, I’m holding extra water just looking at the pics.

No, running won’t be smart.
Just let all the carby belgian waffles slowly drift you to sleep til the end of your rest day

mmm waffles. i can’t remember the last time i had waffles…

Frenchy, it was gym first. Then all that food. Then ski. Then pool. There may have been other activities interpersed between those but sleeping wasn’t one of them.

So much action. Now rest up. Glad your knee didn’t keep you from enjoying the slopes. Hope you’re back to 100% asap.

That is definitely interesting about the no lbs gained…you would think even some water weight would have crept the scale up. Could it have been all the activity that you were doing? Or maybe you just matched your cals, but with yummier foods?

OR maybe it’s time for a physical. When was the last time you got any blood work done? Aside from not holding weight, how have you been feeling otherwise??

It’s because she eats halves of everything. I bet she only ate half the waffle

Maschy and Betty, I’m happy to be able to provide you guys with food porn.

print, gov’t mule FTW! I love me some Warren Haynes. Now you are making me buy that SI issue just to compare. I predict that I’ll find those models 20 years (or more) younger than me but sporting the “skinny-fat” look. Actually, I’d be quite excited and surprised to see a model in SI with my body type. Its not the mainstream.

Cal, I can eat all that stuff without too much problem. Its just that when I eat it, I don’t feel quite as well as when I don’t.

DCA, anything less would have disappointed me.

Nikki, so the interesting thing is that I haven’t wanted starchy carbs in days. That sort of food is self-limiting for me.

Alexus, waffles are definitely a winter food. Especially after snow activities (shoveling, skiing, etc.) I rarely eat them any other time of year.

Nadia, I complained to my ART lady about how long it takes for my injuries to go from 80-90% to 100% good. She assured me that this happens to everyone, so that is helping me be patient. Its coming up on two weeks tomorrow, but I can’t run on it until two days of it feeling normal. sigh.

Betty, I definitely gain water weight during the day but monitor the lbs. first thing in the AM for consistency. Its very dry here in the winter, so I lose almost all the water I drink/eat in a day. Of course, this means that I’m dehydrated and need to drink more but I’m bad at this! My annual physical is in April so I’ll get blood work done then. Generally I feel well and am holding my weight, just at a bit of a deficit from my usual weight.

Frenchy, I totally ate that whole waffle and cinnamon bun. Quickly, before my husband could steal a bite!

I’m w/ya on Warren Haynes. This song always brings out the ‘swamp dog sensuality’ in me. Definitely in my top 5.

I figured as good as you look in a bikini, SI would be honored to have you. Though I’m not sure that strong, sexy, independent, women is what they’re actually looking for.

OH!!! & can I be the first to give a big HELL YEAH to Ray Ray. Gym rat extraordinaire.

Glad to read that  tells me you know how to indulge at the right times.

print, that is a great song. ray ray is my favorite player because his work ethic is something to which I aspire: show up every day for a long-ass time and try your best to work towards a goal. The rest of the game sucked, though.

Frenchy, indulgences are more special when they are rare.

Last night’s training was a study in setbacks and how and how not to get through them.

Sumo Rack Pulls
3 risers (down from 4 risers)
135# 1 x 5 <–warmup, all good
155# 1 x 5 ← a bit harder but still all good
175# 1 x 3 <–see for yourself in the video, pretty decent I think

175# 1 x 1 <–all hell broke loose here.

On my way up, I destabilized the right side risers which went crashing down. Then I put down the weight on the left risers and the barbell slid off – thankfully to the front and not on my foot. Then I re-established the risers as a boy ran over to help me. He asked me if I need help with the barbell and stupidly I told him no. Apparently, I wasn’t thinking straight because getting 175 lbs off the floor is actually a big challenge for me. Why I thought I could just heave it back up onto the risers is BEYOND ME. But I grabbed the bar conventional (I don’t lift conv.) and managed to drag it up high enough almost to the riser when the boy thankfully grabbed the bar and helped me finish the job.

Seriously, I am very, very lucky I didn’t hurt myself pulling a 175 lb. bar off the floor while off balance and with terrible form. Everything feels pretty OK this AM, so I dodged a stupidity bullet here.

Back to it, but I was rattled:
175# 2 x 3 <–slowing down, form breaking down

So, I decided to stop here and take Meat’s advice and pull light and fast from the floor.

from floor:
135# 1 x 3, 1 x 1

And this sucked! It felt like a longggg way down to grab the bar and even at a light weight my hips rose up first and I was slow. Turns out that I haven’t pulled from the floor in a month and I’m really out of practice. Yikes! Time to remedy that.

Bench Press (5’s week)
Bar 1 x 5
61.5# 1 x 5
71# 1 x 5
80.5# 1 x 4 <–failed on 5, same as last month

Kroc rows
40# DB 2 x 10 <–the last 2 reps on each side were pretty hard and ugly, need to work on these

Triceps rope pushdowns
22.5 1 x 15
27.5 1 x 10

After a dinner of veal parm, I hit my weight this AM perfectly.

40# krocs are awesome!

I often say no to help, then wonder why I turned it down a moment later as well.
We’re too strong-willed lol

Dls look very nice to me. Glad you avoided injury from your little mishap! Yikes. Those risers do look precarious. Is there no other way to do rack pulls in your gym?

dodged a stupidity bullet… ha!

your rackpulls look nice - and so do your arms!

glad you didn’t get hurt on the crap mistake. We all do shit like that.

always persevering!

carry on…

Great lifting Kimba, glad to hear you dodged the possible injury.
