Nikki, I made an extra hotness effort yesterday going with the black satin blouse, pin-striped black pants and the same boots I wore in the Santa picture. I’m betting you are looking fine today, and I hope you are having lots of holiday fun.

Ooh Sex-Ay!
You make Xmas merry from the start.
Don’t make bets like that, you’ll lose haha
You got some great workouts in. Holidays don’t stop the Tiny Freak.
For the single leg DLs, I feel it more with the foot on the ground anyway. Or maybe I’m just doing it wrong when I raise my leg.
Glad you found something that you like.
P.S. When exactly will the snow stop? I really don’t think we should wait for the weather to change before we get pics of you in shorts.
Gee, I’m like, the ultimate pic whore.
I agree with Nikki. I don’t see the relevance btw the short pic and the weather. Come on now. Also, how often are you running these days?
Hmmmm. For some reason my deadlift video from yesterday didn’t show up.
I thought the first rep was decent, my hips came up too fast on the second one and my back was too round on the third one.
Bobbi, thanks.
Deja, what is super funny is that they put in the new good girl/bad girl machine so that it faces the wall instead of facing out. Apparently there are way too many good girls at my gym.
Nikki and Nadia, the problem is lighting. In a blizzard there isn’t any good natural light for pix and I’m not a fan of flash. The snow is stopping now, so the wait won’t be long!
Nadia, I only made it out for a run one day last week (Sat.) and I found that my hip crease/groins were a bit sore just like after the very first time I ran. If I run twice per week that doesn’t happen, so I’ll be shooting for at least that throughout the winter. Today the possibility for a snowshoe outweighs the possibility of a run by a long shot.
It’s not snowing indoors, is it? Get 'em on!
(Says the woman who runs in long pants all year round).
Maybe the new Cybex machine is for really really good or really really bad girls.

x2
(says the woman who’s ideal shorts are sweatpants cut off just above the knee.)
Cal, why no love for the running shorts? Do you run in sweatpants or tights? Honestly, I have no love for the tights.
Joe, I know the answer to this: the gym put that new machine facing the wall due to female member complaints about guys looking down their shorts when they were using it. So, too many good girls. Also, there are lots of old guys in my gym wearing utterly inappropriate short-shorts, and nobody wanted to see them use that machine.
CBear, I’ll believe this fashion situation when I see it.
After a big buttermilk pancake breakfast, today’s training was a one hour snowshoe with a fair amount of hill climbing. I’ll admit it: starchy, sugary carbs do have a place. A delicious place.
Seriously Kimba, you trained all through the holidays - kudos to you! And great training to boot.
Sorry about the at-home Oly bar though…bit of a mind-fuck to say the least. You’ll laugh at this one day (I hope…). And you will get those MPs!! said with a shake of the fist
Sumos looked good to me! And you locked that 3rd one with no problem. Your triceps never get old to me…forever in love.
And I concur, the weather has nothing to do with pics in shorts…just sayin’ ![]()
“Is that King Kong’s footsteps?”
“No, it’s just that Tiny Freak deadlifting”
Looking good Dahlin, and kudos for getting some kick-ass workouts in during the crazy time known as Xmas.
And I agree with Maschy, your tris (and whole arm in general) are awesome.
Ha, my good girl/bad girl machine faces the DB racks.
It’s like “Hello Fellas!.. Hello Fellas!”
lolz that demand pics of my shorts to deflect the requests for your shorts!
we’ll see how this works. i’ll have pegg take and post mine tomorrow night.
oh and nikki, it wouldnt be so obvi if you didnt yell “hello fellas!” every time you did the bad girl.
CBear, I’m tricky like that. ![]()
Today’s training was the first ski-skating outing for the year. 30 minutes of intervals. Skiing is hard, but I’ll expect I’ll get back my groove after a few more outings.
Followed by a Mexican food dinner, which is now sitting heavily in my stomach and which must have had a bunch of salt in it cause I’m very thirsty.
Any junk food like that makes me thirsty.
My Chinese restaurant SAYS that they don’t use MSG, but I can drink 2 gallons of water after eating it.
Haha Bear, I don’t yell it everytime I do the bad girl. More than likely, my head’s down so I don’t cause that much attention to myself.
I haven’t forgotten about the running short pic. Ski skating is that like cross country sking?
Mexican food always leads to a nap unless I go the super hot route.

Kimba’s first running shorts. I’ll include the back view in the next post, especially for CBear.
Today’s training was the sort of day that I think will really suck. I rushed into the gym late due to transportation woes which had me really annoyed and spewing negative energy. Once I got my head right, though, it actually was a decent day.
Bench Press
Bar 1 x 5
65# 1 x 5
85# 1 x 5 <–last one my butt was off the bench, but I’ve been chasing 5 reps for awhile
65# 1 x 12
The last time I was able to squeeze out 5 reps at 85# was back in June and I’ve failed to reach this goal ever since. Maybe it was doing bench first (before squats) that was the difference. I don’t know, but I’m pleased about it.
Squats (regular stance)
Bar 1 x 5
65# 1 x 10
85# 1 x 10
90# 1 x 10
75# 1 x 10
65# 1 x 20
All good, low enough, no knee cave. I’ve done 20 reps @ 65# before, and had I known that at the time I could have squeezed out another rep or two for the PR.
HS Independent Handle pull downs (alternating)
35 1 x 15 or so
Triceps rope pressdowns
light weight x alot
Side plank reach unders
1 x 15 each side.
And then, because it is way too snowy to run outside right now, I jumped on the treadmill.
30 min. @ 5.8 (10:20/min mile)
I upped the speed from 5.5 on my maiden TM voyage, but 6.0 is still too fast for me even though that is an easy pace for me on the road. I was pretty tired at the end of this run and was counting down the minutes to get off that thing. This was my first time at getting a run in after lifting and I think I could do a better run when fresh.
Its actually a good thing that I’m taking up running in the winter. If I had unlimited access to run outside, I’m sure I would hurt myself by running too often/too hard.
What brand clothing is that? just curious.
Oh and of course I’m gushing at how good you look in them.
