so then how come every time i eat more protein i recover faster? how come i can feel even the DOMS going away faster? how come i have faster progress? how come every good weightlifter says the same?
the only ones who’d have you think different are doctors who’ve never even lifted weights themselves. well theory and reality are different
Hahaha…ok i guess 3 kinds of curls is dumb. Well then how does one of those ripotoes program look like? Also eating eating clean carbs its such a punishment that is one of the reasons why i am not increasing my caloric intake bcuz if i eat any more calories of the stuff that im eating now ill just get chubby. I dont eat unhealthy foods but still my diet consists of almost no veggies. Why? Bcuz theyr are disgusting, watery, and expensive. Since you have to eat a huge amount to at least get 200 cals out of them that just translates to buying a shitload of green crap…$$$$.
I’ definetly increasy my calorie intake to 3000 to a little if i start hitting each muscle group twice a week, and for the protein how does 230g look?
I don’t know enough to argue this but I’m sure some other members will convince you otherwise.
If you put some effort into cooking a decent meal, any veggie can taste pretty awesome.

well i eat wheat, beans, and fruit those are similar to veggies!![/quote]
Fruit is good in moderation. It’s high in sugar so only eat a couple of servings, preferably in the morning. Wheat and beans are high in calories. They’re good for gaining weight. Wheat is high in gluten and causes problems for some people. In any case, you should only eat whole grains.
Veggies have the most nutrition per calorie of any food. It takes a lot of it to add calories so if you are trying to lose weight, eat about 10 servings/day. If you are trying to gain weight, you will have to cut down on the veg in order to get the calories. Add high calorie veg like potatoes, sweet potatoes along with whole grains, brown rice and beans. Get some green veg as well, especially spinach. Eat heathly fats as well like nuts, olive oil, flax and fish oil.
Arent all fats healthy, we need saturated fat, cholesterol and every other type of supposedly “bad fat” we just need small amounts of it. So when you say eat “healthy fats” you mean eat a shit loads of it or just like with everything else, eat only the nessesary amount? Because somthing tells me if i eat a lot of healthy …errrr fats i might get… fat.
Since my goal is to get big while keeping as much body fat out as possible, do you think i should get myself weightgainer supplement. i mean its hard to eat 2700 let alone 3000+ cals without consuming too much fat and carbs.
One more thing, i want to see how that rippletoe program looks like cuz i think im gonna start training each muscle groups twise a week. Any links?
Eat balanced fats. Most people get too much Omega 6 and too much saturated fats. There is no benefit to trans fats. Therefore when I say eat healthy fats, I mean eat more Omega 3, more monounsaturated, less omega 6 and saturated fats and eliminate trans fats and hydrogenated fats. Fats should make up about 20-30 % of your calorie intake but really, as long as your total calories are ok there is no “limit”.
