Insanity workout Day 2. It could have gone better. Make no mistake it is an ass kicker in interval training.
Crappy workout today. Felt a pulling in my manparts on the deads so I decided to stop. Dont know if its a big deal, but didnt want to try it. hopefully next week will be better.
A pulling on the man parts is always a sign something is going to happen. On deads its probably something bad. It was wisdom to stop and leave it for another day.

Really feel the Tates. Starting to be a favorite exercise.

Insanity Day 5
Could not get focused on lifting today. I got my main lift in, but the BBB and accessory stuff just wasn’t there. But I think I got in enough on that. Then after a nap I got in the Insanity. And, after 5 months of unemployment, it looks like I have a job again; in Afghanistan. It looks like if things go well with the background check and physical I will be leaving at the end of October. I hope to get in around 3-5 years there. The more this goes along the more it looks like I will actually get there. Still need to wait for an actual departure date before I’m convinced I’m going.

also… is the crime rate as bad as i’ve been hearing?? with the five year anniversary of Katrina, i was watching a news show and they said that a ton of the upstanding citizens from New Orleans migrated to the Dallas area and now the crime rate is through the roof. i heard they also have a word for them…something like Katreacians or something.

Not a bad day in the gym. Once I get into the 300’s for deadlift, thats when things start getting hard. I’m really liking the lader up and down for my sets. I think I will stick with that plan for a while.
Nice work UN42. Thats some good deadlifting. I WISH I could do a chin up!

I completed the wokout this time, but took too many breaks. But it is getting a little better the more I go.
Maurader, the crime rate isnt that bad. It did take a spike after Katrina but has since leveled out. And I dont remember hearing the katrecians term used. Just arguments over whether to call them refugees or not. Seemed some thought refugee was derogatory.
Best of luck with the work thing…hopefully you can train and keep posting! But who is going to ride the bike in your absence? I am going to have to google this Insanity thing. I am clueless but knowing how you work I assume its brutal…
Well OG, no one will ride it. It will be on stands while I am gone. I plan on coming home every 6-8 months, so it will get ridden then. I should be a able to train and keep posting. They do have gyms and slow internet over there, so I’m told.

After today i think 70 might be too high a max for Tates. I dont think my form was all that good on those. I will drop it during the next cycle.
Insanity Day 9. Seems to be getting a little better. Still taking longer breaks, but I am able to get through the whole workout. I do need to keep the stretching going though. My flexibilty could always use the work.

Insanity Day 11
I got to the last set of Front Squats, got to the bar Stepped out and my bodt said uh-uh. So i bailed on the last set
Db Curls with the fat gripz KILLED my forearms today. I do then with 2 DB’s/ When I am done currling with one arm, I hold the DB till the other is done. It frys my grip and forearms. I’m starting to think its wrong that I like that feeling. And just so you guys dont think I’m a true badass, when I do Inasnity, its a few hours after I lift. I dont think I could go back to back with it. And I did skip yesterday. After 6 shots for Afghanistan I just wasnt into it. Thursdays are recovery yoga type things. Not any real cardio.

Insanity Day 12. Did a lot better onj the warm-ups but the actual meat of the workout is still killing me. I need to keep pushing through and cut down on breaks during exercises. Slowly, very slowly I think I’m gettig a little better. And TCU’s new helmets just dont look right.
