Nice pr on the deads & chins. You look nice and thin, my wife would love is I could look like that again, haha.
Eco, I havent really lost much weight. I’m still in the 230’s. It fluctuates. sometimes I’m down in the low 230’s and sometimes I’m in the high 230’s. I can tell a difference when I look in the mirror, but the photos seem to say different. But I am gaining strength, which is what I am looking to get.
Scott, thanks on the chins. Its small, but it will get better. I want to be able to knock out chins and pullups between bench sets eventually.
OG, I will give it a go, just not sure when. I kinda wnat to get to 1000 on 5/3/1 and seem to be locked in on that.

Short and simple. I think since I took off the FGs’ on the main lift it has gotten easier. Hopefully I’ll start getting better numbers out of it.
I need to drop a few pounds myself. Its funny, 10lbs can make me look really different.
UN - Your lifts are progressing fast!
Great work! You’ll hit the 1K mark in no time.
Thanks OP, I hope so. JoeGood you are right, just 10 pounds makes a world of difference.

50lbs on straight bar curl is too light, need to uo the weights to 60 and 70 I guess.
Call me feckin’ crazy, but I carry the bars into the locker room and weigh 'em if I have doubts. The EZ curls at various gyms have varied from 18 to 32. Never weighed a trap bar though.
Looking good on the photos!
Thanks KP, I’m trying not to get my dunlap back. Even though its a 24hr, they should know how much it weighs.

Did the 300 meltdown workout. In just under 30 min. I dropped down to a 35lb bell and decided to wait untill 8 at night to go outside to do it. It was shady and in the low 90’s. Great weather for it. I do pretty good until the squat thrusts. Those just take it right out of me. Since i dont think the Insanity DVD’s will get here anytine soon, I will keep this up twice a week for a while, see if I can work into my heavier bells.

I hear you on the front squat wrist pain. My guy does them BB style but I can’t do them and feel secure like that so I stick with a clean grip. However, I’m a bit of a wussy and wrap my wrists for them so they get a bit of support.
UN, I just read this thread (yeah, not sure where I’ve been I guess) and what’s interesting is to see where you were on page 1 and compare your numbers to page 9… Very impressive results… I like to go back to my workout logs every few weeks and do a yearly comparison of lift numbers as I find that always gives me a bit of a boost in the gym…

Front squats can be a PITA (pain in the a$$)… Back when I was a young’in I had someone show me how to do them where the bar should rest in the hollow where your bicep inserts down into your front delt. The bar should then rest around your neck area, so for me, it’s nearly choking me and I have to fight the feeling of gagging.
I use a cross arm grip in my front squats (when I do them) as I personally find it a lot more comfortable. Not to mention, I have a pin in one of my wrists that restricts my movement to 95% of what it should be, so the clean grip puts way too much strain on my wrist.
Smallfry, I tried doing the cross arm grip and it just kills my shoulders. I have done the clean grip before and it works well for me. It just takes a bit to get back into it again. I just need to get them stretched back into it. I really couldnt see much difference in my photos, but maybe there is. Just need to keep on and bring back my cardio.

Kettlebell 300, 26:30. I took off around 3:30 from the last time. I dont know if my cardio was better, or if it was because it was 82. I think I will keep track of that over the next couple of weeks till I start the Insanithy workout at the beginning of my next cycle.

Is this for conditioning? If so, good going. We’ve had a crap ton of humidity here and since we work out in my garage, things have been a bit warmish.
Ouroboro, yes it is conditioning work. And I tend to like the warmish part of outdoor exercise. So, in your avi, are you deadlifting in a suit or an apron? Either way, you have good form.

I decided to go with the I’m not doing jack shit template for accessory work. My shoulders were a little stiff and I just wasnt in the mood. I’m also starting to think I might have to reset my MP. I am gaining numbers, but they are getting harder to come by.

It’s a squat suit that my daughter labeled ‘skat suit’. That’s what the arrow is pointing to. Fortunately my arms are longer than that.
It’s not the end of the world to reset your MP. It seems like when stuff like that is set too high at the start, plateaus happen fast.
No, it’s not the end of the world. And I’m not woories about doing it. It will only help me to move forward.

Not sure how long you are supposed to stay in lockout to make the dead count. Right now its only about 2 seconds, I get the feeling it needs to be longer.
Nice PR’s on MPS and Deads UN! Nice progression all around!
Congrats on the PR, good pulling.
