Over the time that I have been on here, I have seen this same argument in a variety of forms. The result of this argument comes out the same each time. The players may change, but the outcome remains the same. The possibility for good, honest dialogue gets lost in a flame war.

The only thing that I have to add is that the only reason this thread has gotten this far is the OP. If someone else had posted this, the use of the word “articulate” more than likely wouldn’t have been an issue.

However, HH record in the area of race has been less than stellar as of late. Therefore, any intention that he has for this post and the things he says in connection with it is going to be questioned and most likely attacked.

Maybe if he didn’t dig around and pull up a smear article on MLK, using it as fuel to bash the man’s character, and then following it up by more attack posts on other black people and minority organizations (Being justified in attacking or not is not the issue, so anyone that wants to go there, don’t bother) then maybe no one would have said anything about him posting this thread. But he did all of that, and so, here we are again.
