Tight Shoes?

Im curious about how you guys think weightlifting shoes should fit. I bought some Chucks about a month or more ago, but I got them somewhat snug.

My left foot is fairly snug/comfortable, but it seems my right foot is too big for the shoe, making it so I cannot have my toes in their normal position. Should I go up a size? I can’t go up a half size (at least I don’t think, unless they sell half-sizes online), so the next size seems too big.

Would having looser fitting shoes be okay in the weightroom? I always thought you wanted tight fitting shoes so your feet don’t slide.

Your feet shouldn’t slide if you tighten up the laces.

It’s better to have them a little too long than cramped toes.

Since your shouldnt really have too much forward, backward or lateral momentum in normal lifting you can go looser. If you do Olympic lifts, or stuff like kettlebell swings, you may be in trouble but only time will tell for you

are you really asking the internet to tell you if you need new shoes?
