Three Months Progress Pics

I’ve seen a few threads where there were no before pictures. No worries guys, I’ve got some.

Before we get to those, I feel I need to give some background.

Diet = Absolute Shit
Routine:
Monday: Squats/Glute Ham Raises/Leg Press/ Calf Raises
Wednesday: Bench/Incline DB Press/Dips
Friday: Deads/Pull Ups/Bent Over Rows/Shoulder Raises (Lateral, Front, Rear)

Consistency has been an issue with me.

Front Relax

OK different lighting and a hair cut.

What are you looking for form this post, from us??

Thre months good work, now keep at it

Phill

How about some numbers?

Your back looks better, but that’s about it. I think you need to work on your consistency.

Lets do a 3 year progress pic next time. 3 months really isnt anything in the iron game, and while we all think it is in the beginning (I posted 6 month pics, I think) you begin to realize that YEARS is the time span to consider.

I think throwing out compliments just to be throwing them out is useless and serves no purpose other than to make yourself feel good for making the comment. His back looks THE SAME. He is simply squeezing his shoulder blades closer in the second pic. That does NOT count as progress.

No beginner should be posting 3 month progress pics unless this is a Body For Life contest or they really put some serious size on. Most physical changes aren’t even noticeable on most people unless there has been about 20lbs of change. While many beginners with good genetics can make that much of a change in about 2-3 months, this guy didn’t do that.

He should keep working hard.

This is a board I could get used to.

No nonsense, straight to the point, “who gives a hell what you think” type responses.

I’m in love.

Weight: 155
Height: 5’9

Most recent lifts:
Dead - 365x3
Bench - 185x3
Squat - 275x3 (before winter break was doing 305)

Lose the Davey Crockett-Mohegan haircut! Lift heavy. Eat better and eat more.

When I see numbers on this board, I think to my self…wtf is wrong with me. Why can’t I do that yet when the guy looks smaller then me. But then I go to the gym, and see what such people call “good form.”

Bending your leg 10 degrees and pushing back up does not count as a squat.

I barely see people putting up numbers like these at similar size.

Not to shit on your thread man, but I need to see it, to believe it. I suggest youtube; it loads fast for me

I agree post on youtube, but i agree for a different reason, if your just 3 months into the game chances are you have shit form, post vids and let us help you get better form.

Is there a question here?

Anyways, my best (amateur) suggestion would to replace your terrible diet with big bulk foods so that you can put on some mass.

The skepticism is very understandable. Next lifting sessions I’ll record em and load em.

I try to break || on my squats.
My dead form isn’t the greatest.
My bench could use some work. Apparently you’re not supposed to lock out at the top?

Why not??
Phill

I had a critique of my bench posted on another site, and a few people said it was important to not lock out at the top of the press. Not sure why, but I still do it, especially on the heavy sets where I can’t just simply pump em out.

It would increase TUT but IMO lock the damn thing out and go again. But goal dependent every method has it merit just wondering if you knew why you were doing something or just blindly following some ones words and you answered that.

Phill

Yeah, I’m not overly worried about the TUT. I just want to get the damn weight up for the reps and put on some strength/size.

In both front relaxed pictures your right trap seems to be a lot bigger than your left.
