Thomas Kurz's pelvis alignment

Thomas Kurz writes that success in lower body flexibility [front/side split] has more to do with pelvis alignment than actual muscle elongation.

Without getting into great detail, he recommends that you ‘tilt your pelvis forward’ to gain a greater range of motion. Unfortunately I have the pelvic posture of a monkey and have a hard time to get into TK recommended position.

Has anyone any advice on how I can rectify this problem?
