This Routine Works for Me. Thoughts?

2009

280lbs

Some are not the best, but at least it shows that I’m not some pencil necked nerd that hides behind a keyboard instead of training. The weights are accurate, I was heavy even when I was little, and at least I got the balls to show my face unlike some of you here.

Now it’s Hoss’s turn.

Look, I have stated for YEARS that anyone giving advice here needs a pic up somewhere…but you don’t look under 20% even back when you weighed 280. Being under 20% at damn near 290lbs makes you look relatively lean because of the amount of muscle mass.

Most people underestimate their body fat levels and while I for one HATE that so many people care what their number is, I also don’t like that people walk around at huge body weights thinking they match up to others based on body weight and a guess.

Over the years I found out that my best gains came when I was kind of fat, trained each muscle 2x a week, with respectively heavy weights, and pyramiding. The shot I took at people (regarding pictures) who’ll show what’s supposedly their build, and they’ll show a picture with their head missing! I understand that if you’re in a line of work that anonymity is necessary that’s fine, but for the average joe come on! Either the person is really shy, ashamed, or full of crap (most likely). Show your face and stand by your work, don’t steal other peoples and claim it as your own.

I thought maybe your were talking about me before but this confirmed it. I don’t post my face for a couple reasons:

a) My face has nothing to do with my physique so I don’t see how that would add to anything related to this site.
b) I really don’t want some douchebag copying it and then using on another site or a prank like they did with “The Beast Awakens” aka Dickneck on this site.

Has nothing to do with being ashamed or cowardly. I’ve got a couple videos in my HUB and a bunch in the BOI 4.0 thread. Although it’s possible with screenshots, it’s less likely someone will copy my picture from the video.

BTW, I wasn’t dissing your progress or physique either. Just thought it was unlikely you were 290 at 17%-20%.

Go on Sam! You stick up for us…we with holes as faces have rights too!

Racist scum-bags

Hmmm, I can’t quite make out what’s wrong, but something seems a bit fishy about that picture

Some things are best hidden mate. I would come on here and start bragging when you can show your gut without embarrassing your family!

Okay, maybe that cheap shot from me regarding pics was a little low, but don’t take it too personally everybody. It was just friendly return fire, no big deal, after all it’s only the internet. Lol.

Nah, I’m not taking it personal. No big deal.

I was only joking too in-case you couldn’t tell

Maybe it’s time to lose the push/pull split and the trips to ihop 3x per week.

edit

Ill take that back. Your split is definitely not the problem.

Time out there diva. I wasn’t bragging for a minute, I was just answering questions, and making a statement that I actually do lift and bust my ass in the process, and if you’re going to use a James Bond as an avatar at least use the former Mr.Universe competetor Sean Connery mate.

Hey, where’d “Hoss” go? He started this Charlie Foxtrot.

Yeah! Where’s Hoss? It’s time for him to close things down because I can’t carry the “show” anymore. I’m going, going, and gone. Done with this thread, and if anyone want to discuss this further PM me.
