This Anthony Pettis Kick

it was INCREDIABLE!!! and i missed the entire fucking night of fights due to just being busy in the last
2 weeks and completely forgot…

ALSO. how is it people can not understand very basic enlish and not read the title?

As for the fool who suggested CGI, DUMBASS!

whoops i forgot to add an “G” to english guess i fail at that and where is anthiny P when you need him to remind of that by doing what he did in the fight to my head…

I just watched the entire fight and I can’t believe he landed that kick in the 5th round with 40 seconds left to go. That was an automatic win on his part seeing how it was tied 2 to 2.

Pure unadulterated awesomeness.

I’m not one for hyperbole, but I must say…

That’s the most incredible fucking thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Not just MMA, like any sport or maybe anything ever. That’s Dave Mirra double backflip shit. Tony Hawk 900. Vince Carter jumping completely over a 7 footer.

That’s exactly what I thought when I saw it.

Maybe over 10,000…

Pettis has been doing some creative stuff for a while…so I knew he would bring something crazy…but nothing like that.

Are you Serious?
Why dont you take twenty seconds of your time to google the shit, find out it happened last night, was most definetely real and fucking incredible.
I guess some people are so unathletic they assume everything they cant even come close to ding is fake, or that steroids are required.

Do you know if he’s done any capoeira? Those last two things you posted reminded me of some “back in the day” shit.

Man oh man. The gif and even youtube footage does this kick no justice. What a suprise when this happened in the 5th. I had DVR’d and watched this at like 1 AM, basicly woke the whole house up before realizing my ass was outta my seat screaming FTW!!!

This kick will be talked about for many years to come. Ive never seen anything that crazy actually work.

Pettis = great fighter with a huge heart. He was on an episode of “World of Jenks” on MTV. Great positive and looks into a pro-fighters life. This dude has a crazy story to tell. His dad was gunned down in the middle of some sensless gang crossfire.

Briliiant striking and some very creative “ninja” type shit to boot. Look out for this guy to make a (bigger) name for himself in the UFC. That kick just sky rocketed his popularity times 10.

thanks big boss. Pettis deserves the forum burn. Guys like him keep the fighting spirit alive.

The sensational kick Anthony Pettis used to floor Benson Henderson was inspired by the cult martial-arts classic, “Ong Bak.”

Pettis’ coach, Duke Roufus, said he’s played around with “old-school” Muay Thai techniques for several years, and the crazy kick that Pettis landed is just one such attack.

“I just believe in being creative,” Roufus today told MMAjunkie.com. “Anthony is a lifelong martial artist, and I’m a lifelong martial artist, and we’re just trying to keep evolving and blend it all together.”

“I’ve been trying a bunch of different stuff. Bringing out some of the old-school Muay Thai techniques where you climb up on people and land techniques. It’s using his athleticism and surprise attack, and being able to put different elements of the game together.”

“You saw that at UFC 100 when Alan Belcher threw the ‘superman’ punch off the cage. I’ve been working a lot of cage techniques. It’s just like when soccer changed. They started playing indoor soccer on hockey rinks. Kickboxing changes when you put it into that cage. There’s a lot of tactics you can employ.”

“He’s happy he got the strap, but he wants to be a guy like Georges St-Pierre who’s constantly working on weaknesses. He wants to be the best he can be.”

It completely justifies me for watching years and years of kung fu movies

Fucking awesome!!! :)))

This is what Pudzianowski would have to be doing in order to live up to all the hype.

Heh. That Pettis fight is one I’ll have to watch full-length sometime.

Well worth it my man. VS replays WEC cards all the time.

As for Pudz. Id love to see his big muscley ass jump kick off the cage. That would be like falling timber. Oh yah…it would be nice to see him win as well.

Twat number 2 right here.

Of course it is possible. I was simply singing Pettis’ praises by suggesting that the kick is so awesome that “it must be CGI.”

Whilst you’re being a grade A cunt, why don’t you tell the guy above who said that his power level must be 9000, that power levels don’t exist in real life?

Make sure you tell him in enlish. It is clearer that way

Looks like some muay boran shit. The second kick reminds me of the one that he does on that dude called pearl harbour or something (in Ong Bak)?

Anyways, innovative use of the cage.
