my old routine was one tone oriented i have taken a week off and want to change my workout towards adding some bulk onto my frame. i was thinking about doing 4-5 sets of 6-8 reps each. my routine looking something like this:
Monday
Chest and Tris
Tuesday
back and Bis
Wednsday
Shoulders and traps
Thursday
Legs and intense cardio
Friday
outdoor workout sandbag, famers carries, pull ups, tire drag, etc.
what do you think?
5 sessions in 5 days? plus intense cardio on leg day? sounds like a sure fire way to get burnt out big time. i think you should definitely throw some rest days in between all of that.
I agree with 1morerep, I don’t see how you are going to be able to do intense cardio on your leg day. My leg days I never do cardio. The workout alone wipes me out. Why would you add to that?
At a minimum, I think you should have a rest day between your proposed Tuesday and Wednesday workouts.
