Things That Make You Chuckle

Gratuitous Lord of the Flies allusion for the win.

We used to holiday with a family because my wife was friends with the other family’s mother since highschool.

I don’t like holidaying with other families - where you occupy the same house. Too crowded, too hard to align schedules and I always feel there is the risk of someone bringing up a partner swap.

This family made it worse. I called them the Griswolds. Kids out of control, cleaned nothing, hardly contributed to all the additional costs. Noisy when our kids slept but demanded complete silence when theirs slept. Non-flushers after going to bed. Shit taste in music. The list goes on.

For years my wife defended them until one morning she wakes up to find the peels from cucumber and carrot in the sink (from dinner the night before).

She loses it, we leave the holiday early and we have not spoken to them since lol. To me, this was entirely consistent with their behaviour. I still don’t understand why we didn’t just not holiday with them instead of letting it get to that point…

It’s funny that this, of all things, would be the final straw. But not as funny as this:

Don’t lie, you wanted this.

We have a flame-free confession thread for a reason.

Got a magazine in the mail full of cheezy adult sized Christmas pajamas and full size suits with candy cain and leg lamp print. This was the funniest and most disturbing part.

I’m a Nutcracker?

It would double the amount of sex I have but that’s a headache I just don’t need lol

You can’t double 0, my friend.

SAY NO TO DRUGS

The bag of coke: “Maybe you should keep some for next time”
The guy: “No”

Idk why but this makes me chuckle every time I see it lol

That’s funny on several levels too.

Because obviously you don’t stop doing coke when there’s some left!

That is a key aspect to the humor.

Here in good ol’ South Dakota they’ve released our new slogan for the fight against meth. Apparently they spent $45k on this project, and it has resulted in some hilarity. These are all memes (not sure if these are technically memes) on FaceBook made within literally a few hours of it being released. The yellow S.D. above the SpongeBob meme is the original one from the state.
