My son had a track meet yesterday in a rough part of the city. Three minutes after the first race two cop cars pull up lights ablaze and 4 cops come running on to the field. After talking to the race organizers for a few minutes they walk back to their cruisers and drive off.
Apparently a neighbor had heard the (starting) gun shots and called the cops.
No kidding. Props to the calling party too. I’m currently blocking traffic for the scene of a shooting that occurred last night around 11:15pm. We have nearly 30 shell casings in the street from two different guns. Three houses and one car have been struck. One person called 911 when it occurred. ONE.
Due to no one else calling, officers were dispatched to the wrong street and found nothing last night. We were called back out at 1:20pm when someone found a bullet hole in their car.
I’m not sure if the outcome would’ve been different, but damn, people, call 911 when you hear a freaking shootout 30 feet from your front door. One of the rounds went through a bedroom window and struck the pillow where people usually sleep. Luckily they were still up and in a different room.
Our idiots don’t really do anything. There’s rarely any direct retaliation but they also don’t talk to us. Their stupidity leads to neither street justice nor government justice. They basically just let them get away with it.
It almost seems satirical at this point. I’m just so confused, and then when someone speaks out against it, they’re immediately labeled as trans-phobic, which shuts down any back and forth.
Brian Shaw is putting out a bunch of videos on his channel with Eddie Hall, Oburst and Nick Best. It’s like a buddy comedy with elite strongmen. The ball busting is pretty good.
So this made me laugh a lot. Cleaned the oil bath air cleaner on my 1954 farmall. I saw the following two stickers.
I’ve done work on modern engines where if there’s a lean or rich combustion environment you need an OBD2 code reader, check the ohms resistance on sensors and injectors, flow test injectors, smoke test etc…
Back in the 50’s “if there’s more than a half inch inch of dirt, clean it with kerosene.” What a simpler time lol.
