Thib in Saskatoon

I’m currently in Saskatoon for the Canadian National Bodybuilding where one of my guys, Alex Raymond, will be competing as a heavyweight. We had a great week of training leading up to the show in Colorado Springs where I was also training IFBB pro Daryl Gee.

During that week we trained hard twice a day and I actually think that Alex gained a 2lbs of muscle despite being in the final week of his prep.

Right now we are just resting in the hotel room, waiting for the weigh-in in 2 hours.

I’ll keep you posted on the results.

Alex is the loudest “snorer” in the history of mankind… napping 2 hours before the weigh-in… I guess that’s good because he’s not nervous

There might me some folks for there on the forum, so I’m not touching this one with a 10 foot pole.

Good call. I’ve driven through a couple of times when going from one coast to the other. It is a small place and Saskatchewan, just generally speaking…!

I can’t imagine actually gaining any weight the week before a show. So many competitors are simply obsessed with not losing any more than they have to, but that just blows my mind, that his body would still be able to repair/build in what is usually expected to be a horribly depleted state.
