this was brought up on another forum a while back. i’m not saying i that i believe this therory, but would like to know what ya’ll think about this therory. hope this link works it’s my first try
it says i can weigh 2,800+ pounds of LBM@8%
id say its accurate.
Not this again…
I think it reeks heavily of bullshit. It’s telling me my predicted maximum upper arm size is 14.5 inches. If I believed that, I’d just give up now.
But when it’s obviously such a professional site with quality editing, how can it not be true.
I just took a glimpse and I knew I wouldn’t even need to do that.
I’m 18, and although not competition lean I’m pretty solid. My “max” measurements are basically the same as my measurements now. I think I hvae a lot more time to grow…
Putting limits on “how big,” or “how strong” you will get based on some guys chart (who probably is not big himself) is just a sure way to set yourself up for failure.
Do you think Arnold, who had a small bone structure would’ve stopped growing when his arms hit 18 inches because some dumb calculator said so.
I feel anyone can get an 18 inch arm with years of consistancy. I also believe an extremely dedicated trainee who’s life revolves a lot around lifting can hit a 20" arm (this is a person of average height).
The fact of the matter is, whether or not I get 24 inch arms, or even 20 inch arms I will not put limits on my potential because, you don’t know your potential. You may have an idea on what you will become, but you will definately short change yourself if you give yourself limits.

no i agree with you. i dont believe there is a limit, i just remember someone talking about a while back. i didnt know there has already been a thread on it. oh well. i personally believe that this equation should be used as your starting goals
Well, for shits and giggles, I put my measurements in and it said that my thighs wouldn’t get any larger than 24" at an LBM of 193lbs. This is funny considering my thighs are already 26.5" at 175 lbs. Also my forearms are .2" beyond my “potential.”
I guess I can stop training my legs now that I’ve reached my “potential.”
Ive only been lifting for two years and apparently I am as big as I will ever be.
I agree with what you guys are saying, but i’m not there yet. so im setting my goals simular to these #'s actualy the grecian ideal(golden ratio)what ever you want to call it. then when i reach these #'s decide how i want to address my development, but i would never let these #'s dictate what i can accomplish, or how far i can go. for those of you already at these #'s i give you props.

Enjoy!
my bad to bring it up again. cool thanks for the link. i find this stuff interesting
Sweet. I can be 240lbs at 8% BF, 18 inch arms and 20 inch calves.
HA. 20 inch calves. In my dreams! According to their historic progress that would take me…58 years.
Equations predict maximum size attainable by a drug-free, “natural” lifter?
Bullshit, you’d need ultra-high doses of estrogen in order to limit your potential that much…
That is really the worst of that sort of calculator I’ve ever seen… What the heck were those idiots thinking?
According to that bullshit, I should have stopped lifting weights about two years after I started.
The real question is why people are looking for calculators like that instead of proving how big they can get by actually going to the fucking gym.

Because it’s easier!
OMG! I have to stop training, 'cause my arms, calves and legs are beyond my “natural” limits ! ! ! How could it happen? How can I “trim” them? I don’t want to be too “bulky”!!!
According to that my thighs have exceeded their max and my calves are 0.3 inches from the max.
i was looking around, and was kinda shocked at how many different formulas there actually were. i still hope to get to my predicted #'s, as a first goal, and then keep going. there a good starting goal in my opinion. again all of you guys there or past those #'s i give you props. thanks for the reply’s
