Hey Bird, you asked about the dopa mucuna. I use that in conjunction with L-tyrosine to help boost my dopamine levels. I take it on an empty stomach with green tea and P-5-P, a form of B6. This enhances the likelihood of it being able to cross the BBB. I notice an increased level of energy, motivation, and increased orgasm intensity. It seems to increase sex drive but my levels were already high so it would be interesting to see how it would affect someone with low libido.
A-rod - are you referring to Dirty Deeds?

Pushups: 700, nipples to floor, sets of 20-30

So few people do nipples to floor. Most people are so lame with pushups (and pullups and squats, ad infinum). Good for you.
Your squat and DL are about the same? Interesting.
Good stuff here.
By avoiding highly acidic foods, you mean avoiding nightshade fruits and veggies? I had to do that on a limitation diet for migraines (didn’t really help).
Also, interesting about turning MMA training. Any particular style?
Thats interesting theBeth. Would dopa mucana work for males as well? Not that I have a low sex drive, bt the increase in energy levels and motivation would be a bonus.
XOXOXO.
theBird.

I don’t think so. Dirty Deeds the movie?

I was thinking of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap but the thigh’s come from You Shook Me All Night Long. A compliment indeed.
theBird: yes the dopa mucuna works especially well for men. Rhodiola is another good one for motivating through brutal workouts.

One of/the greatest rock album of all time, perhaps. And ya, theBeth, I think it would be a compliment to any woman that trains.

Quota not schedule, I like this approach - and with our first on the way in a few months, I think I’m gonna have to borrow it.
TheBeth, nice training BTW ![]()
Beth - you are quite an inspiration and a good example for women to follow. You are strong and still feminine as many women still think lifting weights will make them manly and bulky. If many of them only knew how much better it would make them feel and look. Keep up the good work. I am impressed!
And to the thunder thighs comment - damn attractive.
How, who, or what got you into training the way you do?
Thank you for the compliments! I don’t have alot of support from friends or family for how i train and I’ve always trained alone. Its nice to find a place full of people who get it!
I think it all started with my admiration for gymnastic and aerial athletes. As a kid I tried copying them and as young as 9 I was researching nutrition and training. In highschool I started lifting weights and really getting into fitness. So I think it all started inside me, developing into a drive and passion.
I think there is nothing more beautiful and sexy than the supple curve of muscle on a woman’s body. I’m kinda head strong and free spirited, just pursuing my interests regardless of what anyone else thinks so being alone in my passion for strength and fitness hasn’t ever been an issue for me.
I’ve been certified as a personal trainer through ACE for almost 10 years. I trained military wives briefly in NC, but otherwise I’ve used it as a barter tool to get things I need. There’s no sustainable economy for personal training where I live.

that’s why I’m here too. Not a single one of my friends and family have any interest
Apparently there are two ways to get some great quads.
Option A: Rep the hell out of some heavy squats for a decade, followed by lots of sprints and tire flips.
That seems hard.
Thank goodness there’s Option B.

Precisely. Without Tn, I’d be like the socially awkward little gifted kid who wants to monologue about dinosaurs or black holes or whatever, while the other kid’s eyes glaze over. At least having a community of like minded people helps you to not bore everyone with all your enthusiasm.

I find this to be a forever thing for me as well. A path traveled alone. Everywhere I go I end up influencing a few people here and there when they finally see the drive, determination and consistency I put into this. 12 hour shifts, 18
Month old, wife, and still finding a way to get up and train. No one can build a person to become his way. It just happens. Research, time and putting things into action is what helps me stay on point. Your one in a million,
Most woman or men for that matter don’t peruse training beyond high school. They have kids and give up to society who says its time to sit on the couch and eat and eat and eat until you get so out of shape, your body realizes its time give in. I won’t quit until I’m in the earth. I’m very close to hitting my goal of benching 500lbs. I’m not just fluffing or hyping you up. I’m telling you what’s real. Matter of fact I flat/incline/decline 405 for reps depending on the lift. It’s on YouTube. Keep doing you, theBeth. Your definitely inspirational and a sexy powerhouse.
<3 awesome work
Keep killin it!
(and how I missed this thread???)
Thanks for all the kind words you guys! It motivates me to keep goin when things get tough.
coyotegal: your back is effing amazing. how do you do it? I do hundreds of pullups a week and all i seem to get is 3D instead of width.
Good shit
12 hour shifts, 6 days a week…I work the same, much respect for the work you do, and the amount of effort you put in living your life, especially being a single parent…You mentioned you train in MMA, come over to the combat forum and hang out sometime. Train hard, be safe.
