One would hope that Atlas is squatting and benching as well or he’s going to get a terrible muscle imbalance.

I hate all the stupid questions or weird looks when I tell people I take proteins.
The face of disapproval …I bet you all know what I’m talking about.
I don’t even bother anymore explaining to them that proteins are safe…

the amount of eating. i hate that i cant really go out anywhere for too too long because i have to have my meals. it really sucks in that it excludes you from a lot of people, especially in addition to the gym time.
the lack of understanding from a lot of people irritates me too. its like people think im some kind of weirdo because of what i eat/when i eat/why i eat. of course every single one of them is either severly under or overweight.
as far as people thinking that we’re dumb for being bigger and stronger: i love it that im SMARTER and in better shape than 90+% of the people i meet, it makes me feel like a superior being haha. i actually think most people who are in extremely good phsyical shape and DONT use a coach/trainer are very intellectual & dedicated because as we all know putting on respectable muscle is not an easy thing to do.
…people think youre a muscle-head until you explain how the anabolic diet works and then they feel like a little child.

i take back nothing. im sorry for acknowledging the truth. i usually am either more intelligent or in better shape than most people i meet. and also just about every person who thinks my healthy lifestyle is silly is out of shape. example, people who think i eat way too much are usually people who are very very thin and the people who think im weird for not endulging in junk food around the clock or eating food just because it “tastes good” tend to be overweight.
again with the AD reference. wtf? if someone is ignorant about health and fitness yet wants to try and act like they know what theyre talking about then on top of it criticize me for whatever aspect of my lifestyle, yeah i might put them in their place a bit, but this is only after theyve been acting like a dick. otherwise ill just try to make something as understandable as possible if theyre interested. for the most part though when a typical person asks me about my diet i just tell them the basics, i eat fat and protein MTWTF, weekends are carbs, if they asks why i just say “its a long story”.
i think you assume i go out of my way to try and make people feel insignificant when thats just not the case. i dont think i need to rewrite anything, i think youre just interperting my post incorrectly.
Live your post came across as “I’m better than these people because I lift and follow a diet plan”, if that’s not what you intended then I’m sorry but obviously more than one of us picked up that vibe from it. Can we steer this thread back to bitching about oily thong wearing bodybuilders now? haha
The tan in a can…just plain silly

Thanks for providing more evidence to support my original claim.
There are 60 some posts on the the “worst” thread, who thinks there is a snowball’s chance in hell of the “best” thread coming close to that without some sort of fight breaking out? That’s another “worst” thing in bodybuilding.

Recovery…
I hate that I make progress out of the gym, and that I can’t go everyday I have to stay home and eat.
Honestly I wish I could go to the gym everyday and lift heavy compound.
Whats up with ‘active recovery’? What ya’ll think?
Also you can see my mentality, anyone concerned i’d overdue it, and end up hurting my growth?
Yes…thats it.
Nutrition is the next thing. ![]()
Next thing is that the bodybuilding isnt compatible with a …party life.

I train hardcore and looked pissed off in the gym and all day, of course I’m better than you. I’m better than everyone else I see during the day too. Skinny professor? HA, who cares about your fufilling career and good family life, I’m a bodybuilder and I look good in a wife beater RARRRR!
Ok Sentoguy and Scott M fun time over haha.
Thats funny. Im one of those with the pissed off look on some days but theres a reason. Usually means Im about to go super heavy that day and Im just like fuck everyone I wanna get this done and go eat my meal

i think im in better shape than people who dont exercise, and i think im more intelligent than a lot of people too. i dont think that makes me better as a person, it just makes me better in those two catergories…and theres a lot of other catergories which i absolutely suck at lol.

youre welcome. have fun with it, save it to your computer, memorize it. then bring it up every chance you get. please, prove something.
I found it! The absolute worst thing about bodybuilding!
Jacked Diesel. And all others like him. Scott, you were right on the money.
Calling your Dad to tell him your gay.
Perception…my 60 something year old Uncle told my father I was on steroids because he saw me lift weights and takea vitamin. It is kind of annoying actually.

He shrugs to balance out his physique. The isometric tension that holding up the earth puts on his entire body, particularly his P-chain, really doesn’t affect him any more…

The people that only have one answer
“Squats, now um what was the question?”

In everyones opinion, what is the worst thing about bodybuilding? The thing I hate the most is how long it takes to see results. The flip side of that coin is that because it’s such a long process, it’s easy to see who is really into it vs who is not. I’ve only been going to the gym for a year and I’ve already seen dozens of people start for a month and quit.
So anyways, what do you like LEAST about bodybuilding?
Having to have a split personality — one moment a raging screaming beast who MUST DL (or Squat or Bench) that weight, the next moment an accountant writing down all my reps and my feelings during the reps and all that HS.
I gave up the 2nd one.
