He Man!!!
Beast Wars Transformers!!!
original Transformers

i have to confess, i haven’t read the whole thread, but…
Cities of Gold at least deserves a mention.
Hey does anyone remember that cartoon in the 80s which was like a Space Western, and one of the main characters was a horse on walking on two legs who used to carry a big shotgun and spin it backwards after shooting? That was so cool!
It was called something like Red Ryder, or some kind of name along those lines.

Hell yeah! That was the one!
I have to say:
Original Transformers
I know it was only created to sell toys but damn did it have everything that a kid could want. Robots that transformed into tanks, helicopters, cars and not to mention Dinosaurs. It had explosions every two seconds and clear-cut Megatronis bad Optimus is good storyline.
I loved how the humans were token characters and how the transformer just blew up shit and totally ignored the human race. Thats where they went so wrong in the live action movie. If you look at the original cartoon, the humans were never the focus for more than a second.

In my top 10 best shows ever.
DBZ is my favorite, however I have to now go old school on you all!
Anyone remember MASK?
How about SNORKS?
Come on, nobody mentioned the SMURFS!
My sister’s favorite, POUNDPUPPIES.
Carebears.
Cheap transformer knock off would be the GOBOTS.
Fragglerock.
What about HeMans sister, She-ra?
That’s about all I can think of at the moment.

Metapocalypse
How the old Loony Tunes and Merry Melodies, with bugs bunny and Tom & Jerry etc? Those were untouchable IMO.
3rd for Family Guy

Fuck yeah, I remember all those. I was actually going to mention MASK and Care Bears too.
You know, they don’t make cartoons like they used to. I think that’s a fact. Even DBZ was originally made in the 80s. I mean, what are the best characters they could come up with in the new millennium? A couple of dysfunctional families, and a fucking sponge that wears square pants. Sheesh.

Also, when I was little it was Rescue Rangers all the way. Before I understood the concept of time, my mom would tell me time in units of Rescue Rangers (30 min).[/quote]
Hah, my parents would do the same for me, except it was with Rugrats. I’d yell “WHAT’S IT SAY?!” as loud as I could whenever the episode title came on, and if nobody jumped up and ran to the TV to read it within three seconds, I’d get all pissy.
Cartoons were my life when I was little. Aside from using that cameras-in-the-street tool on Google Maps to pretend like I’m riding my bike around the block of my old house, cartoons are my ultimate nostalgia.
