Very interesting question especially the neurological aspect. There’s some studies out there on “covid brains” after the patient died of covid and it seems the neurological damage is small. But the jury is still out. No question that the brain in many cases is affected.
I’m glad he’s wearing a mask. 1. He’s in an incredibly high risk category. 2. It’s a tremendous example to set for the American people about continued diligence even as things open up. 3. He’s following CDC guidelines.
I’ve been fully vaccinated and I wear a mask in public still. I follow CDC guidelines and will until they change.
Great for you. Still unnecessary. Also not a great example to set. Why would somebody young and healthy get vaccinated if one knows you still have to do all the same shit? People do this to not wear masks. The CDC says that even filly vaccinated people should only get together in small groups. Why?
In Australia young people will get vaccinated so they… can get the fuck out of Australia (joking… sort of… I’m on the first flight out…), go back to large scale, multi day music festivals, attend university lectures in person etc.
Again following CDC guidelines. Do you have an extensive background in this?
This is ludicrous. Why would the President of the United States not want to set an example of remaining diligent while the remainder of the population gets vaccinated? Why would he not follow the guidelines of experts?
You don’t do the same shit. You do some of the same shit to protect the people who haven’t been vaccinated. I would encourage you to look at the CDC guidelines.
Wearing a mask in public is one of the single easiest things I’ve ever done. I have no idea why so many tough acting people (not saying you) think this is akin to moving mountains. We’re not even at 25% of the population vaccinated.
Yes
He made the guidelines. The CDC pulled their guidelines back and changed them after Dems weren’t okay with it.
That’s also why you get vaccinated
It isn’t if you are wearing FFP2 10 hours at work. It is quite bad for your health. Where I work this is mandatory even if vaccinated.
- We don’t currently fully understand if a vaccinated person can or can’t transmit Covid (or to what degree). That IMO is the reason for the CDC guideline.
Biden has said that if vaccination roll out goes well that we should be very close to normal by mid summer. He had a folksy type speech about going to a BBQ with your extended family on July 4th.
We do understand that it isn’t the case (over 95% lowering of transmission rate after vaccination)
You got 25% vaccinated, cases go down, deaths go way down and we are talking July 4th? It’s March. According to Biden 95% of schools should be in hybrid mode or completely at home. His policy doesn’t make any sense.
Then you read the article and find out that one gun was found on one person while he was leaving.
This is contrary to every thing I have heard in this regard. What I have heard is that it is likely a lower rate, but it isn’t fully understood. IIRC, there is even more uncertainty with the new variants of Covid in regards to transmission after vaccination.
I am no expert, and I am convincible if evidence supports the claim. A bit of google seems to indicate that there is uncertainty on this topic.
I don’t support all the measures, I don’t think some of the measures were fair to business.
I’ll try to get the full study for you
Unless you actually have a respiratory virus, how does wearing a mask protect anyone else?
Reduces the chance of you acquiring the virus from someone else. Also reduces chance of asymptomatic transmission. There’s been quite a bit of modelling conducted regarding this.
I didn’t ask how it protects you.
Care to share your extensive medical background in this area. Your thoughts are largely contradicting the vast majority of the medical community as well as our own people on this forum with experience in the issue (see other Covid threads).
It’s not fully understood at all. It’s one of the biggest unknowns we have. I have no idea why he’s acting as if it’s settled science and widely accepted. Not only is the majority of the US not vaccinated we are also going to be looking at a population where people have different vaccines. Not only is it not fully understood now it might not be for a bit.
I’m working at a big hospital, my group does covid research. Cant say more, I might be not anonymous anymore
But what specifically do you do? My sister is a nurse on a Covid ward. My other sister is a doctor. We have people in the other threads with more specific background and knowledge of it.
The things you are saying are largely opposite of the vast majority of the medical community. I’m guessing your not directly researching it yourself?
I know. We might narrow you down to the several thousand people doing something similar.
In sum I have given enough information to narrow it down.
