The Walking Dead Season 2

^ Mini SPOILER

people that follow the books know about the farm house. It comes later in the book which is cool because it means they are moving the series fast . “The prison” may come this season or at the end at this rate.

I can’t give it away because the series may differ from the comic books. BUT everybody that posted that asked about Why is the house so clean and Why is it not boarded up is right it is strange for a VERY smart old man to do that. And yet he did.

Remember his speach about “Hope For A Cure” and Remember that HOPE can make a normal smart person do strange things.
I just read this part of the books, cannot wait for the next episode. God I hope they follow the comic with this part.

There’s definitely a distinct difference between the feel of seasons 1 and 2 so far. Season 1 seemed more about the general chaos of realizing/accepting that there’s actually a zombie plague going on, and things have settled (to an extent) so now the individual personalities are getting the spotlight, slow though they may be developing.

It’s taking some patience, for sure, but I think I’m kinda digging how it’s turning out. It is good to be reminded that they’re not superheroes, they’re an ordinary mash-up of folks dealing with a new world of shit, with all the drama that involves.

Next time you’re in the supermarket or someplace crowded, try imagining yourself plus any six random people in the store having to suddenly rely on each other for your lives. Ha. Talk about a worrisome thought.

Season 3 just got confirmed, so there’s more to look forward to regardless.

Interesting though:
"However, there’s legitimate reason to be concerned (or, at least wonder) about the quality of The Walking Dead once the show reaches the half-way point of season 2 - which marks the end of Frank Darabont’s time as the series’ head honcho.

The messy behind-the-scenes drama which led to Darabont’s departure between the airing of season 1 and 2 was bad enough to leave many fans worried about the show’s quality in later season 2 episodes."

For those saying, stop watching… At some point I’m hoping it turns around for the better.
I will keep watching, but I’m a sucker! I liked the second episode much more than the first.

Watched the second episode and I liked it. I don’t understand the dislike.

The first episode was lazy.

They fired a bunch of writers from the first season.

I am crossing my fingers because I want to love this show as much as I love Breaking
Bad.

Difference of opinions. First episode could have been better, but I didn’t dislike.

I know a great show that everyone will love: Sons of Anarchy!

I wanna read the comics now!

^ Ahhh you two Kids, So full of Hope and faith in the Future. Ahhhh warms my heart with a promise of a better Zombie Tomorrow.

Okay how and the fuck does the Vet know he has 5 fragments in the kids gut? I have taken care of a ton of GSW and no fucking way without X-Ray could this be determined. Also if he had “knicked” a vessel he would bleed out within a fucking hour.

I agree with 460 to a point that this is built as a drama (why I dont know) and they are trying to make the characters fallible. But they really need to start moving this show along, they are going to lose the audience with the dragging feet and lack of violence.
I just saw it last night and that had me laughing at the screen.

“he has 5 bullet fragments”

“Tell Clark Kent I said, hey, by the way”

I fast forwarded through all of the crying and that only left me with 5min of footage.

Yeah, when he first said something about the 5 fragments I thought he had already looked in there, only to find out a few mins later he just began digging in there.

No offense to anyone (WoL not included) but my fear is they are trying to get the woman demographic. I understand drama and tension and really enjoy movies with this, but not soap opera BS.

Keeping it “real” is all good and love the super market analogy, but MOST people in stressful situations fall into two categories leaders and followers.

QUESTION:

Why do all these movies when shit goes down all the military and elite forces are fucking dead? Soccer mom and hick sheriff can live survive and kill everyone, but the guy with years of seal training gets taken down within minutes?

My guess is that soccer mom and hick sheriff were running away while the military went right at the horde, and got overwhelmed.

^ Okay, BUT no survivors? What about recently retired etc. Seems you would have a higher portion of survivors with some military training.

I mean us back woods Hillybillys cant be the only people who survive.

You can clearly see this in the show. Rick is the alpha leader. Shane and Daryl are the beta leaders. Everyone else is a follower. I don’t know what that has to do with anything

I want to know how some of you would expect someone to react if they just watched their son get shot, especially in this situation when it was an accident that could have been easily avoided. I know I’d be a mess, pretty much just like Rick was. Anyone with kids should be able to relate to that, male or female.

^ it makes since. We are not talking war we are talking Family disaster world wide. The special forces are home protecting there families or killing them after they turned. And I must disagree but only slightly. Peole that are thrown into Stress have more than just the two Leaders and followers.

You are looking at this with what I call “Cop” eyes (does not mean you are a cop just that you are around trained people who thru the natural weeding out process- training, military training, advanced schooling split into the two groups.)

The 3rd group are the “Obsticles” the group that are lost, have no idea how to follow or the wisdom to know who they should follow. The argue, disrupt the other 2 groups and become a issue that must be delt with. Not a problem if it’s war kill the fucker and move on bit if it’s one of your own family or one of your followers family you have problems.

Like the mistake people make when they say there is 2 reactions to an attack Fight or Flight. There is a 3rd to that also its Freeze.

I guess it is possible that the bullet fragmented as it passed through the deer and then created five separate entrance wounds on the kid. This could explain how the vet determined there were five fragments.

Who are you asking about in regards to “Cop” eyes?

Well in a zombie situation 460 the people who freeze die or become zombie’s themselves. Reason why there are so many zombie’s in “theory”, that would leave people with great survival skills but then in the left overs you got two types of people leaders and followers.

@ Steel I was not referring to the fact of the child being shot, really you interpret that out of what I typed?

Why would that go with that story line period? Was it in the comics if so fine my bad. But why even shot the kid period and spend 30 minutes building up a totally not realistic medical situation?

Dude, no offense, but you just had two people who use x-rays regularly respond the same.

AT BEST his response would have been, “I think I got out all of the fragments”.

I’m not nitpicking here either. They are spending WAY too much time with this over-emotional drama play at the expense of real action and tension.

This is the first month after a world wide plague. They would still be in the middle of the action much like a war situation.

I shouldn’t have to tell you 3what happens to soldiers if they spend 90% of their time crying about what just happened.

They may fall apart LATER, but not in the middle of things like this.

It appeals to people without any of these experiences, including medical knowledge.
