Well it looks like they won’t be at Terminus for the entire season, and if history is any indication this trailer only has the first half of the next season so far.
Also, Beth is still alive, but I have no idea where she is.
I watched this the other night and wished I didn’t. It answered many questions I had at the end of the last season which kind of spoils some of it but this seasons looks like its going to be very good.

Negan makes an appearance?
It’s possible. I’m not sure what the heck is going to happen with Terminus since it was never in the comics. From the trailer it looks like they leave with Gareth to go to Washington. I wonder how many episodes they are in Terminus for. I wonder how long they will keep looking for the “cure.” I think Negan has a chance to make an appearance by the end of the season if they want to put him in the show. I feel like that would be the good time to introduce him and make Season 6 about the conflict with Negan and his men. That conflict deserves at least one season.
I still think at least one big name character will die this season and I just learn towards Glenn.

I liked the episode. When Rick took that gun from one of the Terminus people and just lit up all the other people that just ran by was bad ass.
The throat slitting scene was pretty gruesome.
Hmm, Eugene sure tried to walk around the question about what the cure is.
Yeah.
I liked the episode as well. I am trying to “forget” the comic arcs a bit because they have already strayed so far from characters. Andrea in the comics vs show, Dale, Shane, ect.
I am thinking Gareth will be back, because Michone needs to get her sword back. The Daryl and Carol reunion was well done. Carol has taken about 3 levels in badass and currently gives zero fucks.
“Not great, but fun” is a good description. I am also ok with fan service from this show, because I don’t think “artistic” is really what they are going for.
I’m pretty happy that instead of having a whole season (or half season) revolving around terminus, they wiped it out right away.
I agree that Michonne getting her sword back will probably involve some folks that survived terminus, likely including Gareth. And it’s likely to drive an “I told you so” response from Rick on why they should have gone back to finish the job when he wanted to.
I also noticed yet another former cast member of The Wire will be making an appearance on TWD (Father Gabriel).

Rick also needs to kill him with the mentioned red handled machete, we all know it’s happening.

I’m with you as well, it s a fun show, but I need to just ignore all the insanely unrealisticness of it.
If you watched the Talking Dead afterwards, one of the writers/producers mentioned that another bad guy will come along during this season. I still think it’s going to be Negan.
Great first episode. It is still a bit annoying with the unrealism so I’ve learned to shut off my belief sensor before watching. Very happy they got out of terminus in the first episode.

I was like, ‘Hey look it’s the dude with Rick’s watch. Oh, okay, nevermind.’
(Unrelated: Gotham, where that dude’s playing The Penguin, is a pretty good show so far but Jada Pinkett Smith is absolutely terrible in it.)
Ha, yeah, no clue how everyone was satisfied with that non-answer. I get that it wasn’t a good time to talk, but no one was even like “Wait, what?”

Pretty much, yep. Leaving the BBQ cook lady laying there for the walkers was cold and awesome. I was watching a bit earlier in the day when AMC was showing a marathon of last season and I caught parts of The Grove where she handled crazy Lizzie. I forgot how awesome that whole episode, and Carol’s performance, was.

I do ok with it. I mean it is a zombie show so "suspension of disbelief is assumed. It is the discontinuity in some of the writing that kills me. Not enough to quit mind you. I am still hooked.
