The funny thing is, a farm raised veterinarian would likely realistically be the first one to make the choice to put them down. My father-in-law was a vet, and he loved animals but could put them down with zero emotional issues because he knew it was right. Herschel grew up doing some hard living on the farm and should have been the first one to cut the losses and get on with life.[/quote]
