The Transition Manifesto

So I’ve officially been living the lifestyle for a week and a day. feels alright. I look better in my cloths already. I got a slow metabolism but mabe it will help me retain muscle while some of this fat drops off me.

Don’t get me wrong I been lifting for almost 5 years but I never really did the whole eat 5 times a day, proper post workout nutrition thing. Till now. Feals kinda good sometimes. Specially when I turn down cake or order a PLAIN sweet potato. (today with my steak)

I’ve been shocked at how many times a DAY I’m presented with choices. Cookies and milk or protein. etc. It’s 24/7 baby.

Another surprise was that its been a week. Just a week and I already look a little better! I took measurements last week before I started and wanted to see how much I change in 8 weeks. I’ll post those later.

I’ve also noticed a serious lack of support from many friends. Even “toxic” remarks. (cant remember what article that was…if someone does let me know)

Thats it for now.

I have a training log as well.

Early Marry Christmas!!!

Misery loves company. Stay focused, stay strong. I’m going through a similar thing, I’ve decided to turn back on the circus that powerlifting has become. So I decided to drop 20 lbs and get those abs back into the daylight.

I totally understand.

since my last post Im 2 pounds lighter and a tad bit stronger in my back muscles. I’m also beginning to wonder if getting rid of most of my old size L t-shirts was a mistake…

Oddly enough I’ve had a perfect day to day diet and training wise and I feal like shit. Mabe I’m getting sick or mabe I need to eat a little more. You never know.

Peace.

dude…if i were you, living down there so close to the kickin’ chicken sandwhich, id would be FUCKED. i feel like id have to have one every day.

Zaxbys gets old after a few weeks, surprisingly.

They have grilled chicken salads now too though I think…

they do have salads but it gets old eventually.

Lost another two pounds. down around 217 ~ 19% bf now.

I wonder how low I’m gonna get just from the new eating habits? (place your bets lol)

Not much else to report. Except that 20 rep squats suck balls.

peace.

You know about Berardi’s 7 Habits, right?

Just trying to help, of course. Good luck, man.

I’ll look em up. I seen em but I haven’t memorized em or anything.

Berardi is a beast man. his chest could use a tad bit of work but the rest of him is freaking jacked.

we all have a weakness or two lol.

I’m having trouble going to sleep at night. Maybe too much caffeine? Anyhow if anyone has any more useful stuff to look up that might be older stuff I may of missed let me know.

Or if you’ve got a story about your own transition have at it. I could use the motivation anyway.

1. Eat every 2-3 hours, no matter what. You should eat between 5-8 meals per day.

2. Eat complete (containing all the essential amino acids), lean protein with each meal.

3. Eat fruits and/or vegetables with each food meal.

4. Ensure that your carbohydrate intake comes from fruits and vegetables. Exception: workout and post-workout drinks and meals.

5. Ensure that 25-35% of your energy intake comes from fat, with your fat intake split equally between saturates (e.g. animal fat), monounsaturates (e.g., olive oil), and polyunsaturates (e.g. flax oil, salmon oil).

6. Drink only non-calorie containing beverages, the best choices being water and green tea.

7. Eat mostly whole foods (except workout and post-workout drinks).

got it.

wow.

I learned a very important lesson. Binging sucks. My metabolism is so slow that it took me 5 days of strict bodybuilding diet to get back to the weight I was that morning. I basicly waysted 5 days for one night of cookies coke, milk and cake. lol.

I was gonna have some cookies today and said “Hang on a minute…” lol. I don’t want to be superstrict all the time but I ain’t doing that again. I cant be waysting that kind of time when I want results yesterday.

so my weights pretty steady, 216.5

I don’t look alot better naked then the last time I posted but I noticed I look a bit better in my clothes. My legs are getting biger. the legs in my jeans are tighter but the waist is getting loose in some of the bigger pairs.

I notice little things all the time.

the good:

-the weight training is going good.

-supplementation is going good. Got my vitamins, my fat burners, just ran out of fish oil but more coming soon.

the bad:

  • despite making good choices with my meals I am struggling to eat bang on. I eat to much,to little, or not often enough. I never bomb it by any means but I never get it totally right, either.

the ugly:

-the binge which I mentioned above. I’ll measure up tommorow and let u guys know about my months progress as far as the tape measurer and scale go.

so i did my 4 week measuring up and weighing.

i’ve lost 13.5 pounds

i also went from a 41 3/4 inch weist to a 39 1/2 inch weist.

everything else is pretty constant. a little loss in the leg and arm. Fat (hopefully lol) or at least it should be. I’m as strong if not stronger.

aight. gonna go enjoy the rest of my rest day.

213.5 on the scale this morning.

I feal more ab coming through. I’ve lost enough fat to see an imbalance in the abs a little in that the left side is bigger on the top. (tops all I can see lol)

my bf% is about 17 or 18%, not sure.

Peace guys.

Good job man keep working. By the way, zaxby’s grilled chicken salads do rock. (but pretty much everything they have does.) I live next door to a Zaxby’s…its hard.

that it is getswole.

so today I cheated with a chick fil a egg and chicken biscuit with jelly and some hash browns…

Within an hour I felt like I had just popped a wad of lard in my mouth and swallowed whole. That was at 10. I didn’t get over it till like 3. I ate a subway wrap and now I feal a little bit better. (a little)

I got practice at 5. I hope I feal better by then.

I ain’t eating fast food for a long time…oooo…lol.

I think my body is used to eating eggs and wheat bread and all that healthy stuff…so it rejects the bad food. or something. is that possible? Anyway I hope it is cause thats just one more good reason for me to avoid it.

Yeh its possible. It has happened to me before. I havent consumed fast food (except a grilled chicken sandwich at arby’s) in about 6 months. I love taco bell, but I’d hate to see what it would do to my insides. I havent gone periods of not eating it for even just a month or two to find that a dollar cheeseburger at MIckey D’s can be a crappy (pun intended) experience.

ok. thought mabe it was just me.
