I took a zumba class^^
I squatted in the smith machine in full gear.
I curled in the squat rack while wearing vibrams.
I did box jumps on a bosu ball.
Problem everyone?

SPF NWA Powerlifting Championship (VIDEOS WILL BE EDITED IN LATER)
Man that was quite an experience. Where to start? Atmosphere was great, the SPF really knows how to run a meet. Heavy metal was blarin, and especially among us big ole cheater gear wearin boys, there was a real sense of camaraderie, as guys I had never met were hollerin at me, spottin me, callin my depth, teachin me, etc. It was awesome. Buff n Stuff and Elmore18 both smashed their own goals. Elmore will no doubt inform yall in his log (Future Office Linebacker), but I will brag on buff n stuff on here. We had some camera trouble, and missed out on some of the lifts due to needing new batteries. Ah well. On to the lifting. I went 5 for 7 (passed on two bench attempts, more on that later).
I weighed in at 267, stupid virus robbed me of about 7lbs of body-weight. Ah well, it happens.
Squats:
Warming up in the monolift was an experience. I have never used a monolift before, and I kept coming forward when unracking. I finally figured in out, hit 630 as my last warmup, and was ready to go.
1st Attempt - 665 - 3 whites - solid (video)
2nd Attempt - 700 - 3 whites - solid (video)
3rd Attempt - 715 - dumped - had the same problem as I was having during warmups. I didnt get under the bar enough, so I unracked leanin forward a bit, and the moment I began to squat I started tipping forward. Thank the Lord for fast acting spotters. No video, this is where the stupid thing died.
Bench:
My goal for the first meet was a 1700 total. To achieve that, a 400 or around 400 bench was required. My shoulders are both popping and grinding (at all times now), the left one is beginning to hurt again, and the muscle I pulled in my back was spasming again, making pulling my shoulders back for bench almost impossible. As such, I took a token bench, considered doin another one, but a Westside Barbell guy told me to not be an idiot. to pass on two and three, and get someone to work the knot out of my back. He seemed smart, I listened to him.
1st Attempt - 390 - 2 whites - 1 and done and hurtin (video)
2nd Attempt - pass
3rd Attempt - pass
Deadlift:
To reach my goal, I needed at least 610, and got it. I was worn out after the long day, and prob had not eaten enough, but hey, you live and learn.
1st Attempt - 600 - 3 whites - solid (video)
2nd Attempt - 625 - 3 whites - solid (video)
3rd Attempt - 660 - no lift - went for broke and just wore out, missed it above the knees (video)
So in summation, 700, 390, 625 for a 1715 total, reaching my goal for the first meet. I ended up gettin first for my weight/gear class, which was pretty cool. Saw some amazing lifts, including a 21 year old squat the fastest 1005 I have ever seen, and a big ole boy from Illinois total 2600, and a number of world records broken. I am very thankful to have gotten to do this, and thankful to everyone on here who gave me tips, advice, and encouragement.
Specifically, PeteS, thanks for putting up with this “loud mouthed whipper snapper” long enough to teach me.
Where to now? Another trip to the swoley land to get my shoulders to work again, while still pulling and squatting heavy. It will be a long time before there will be another meet I can make it to because of school, so its time to have some fun.
A fucking bolt of lightening just hit me and reminded me that it was your meet day. Fucking awesome work buddy. I am proud and shit, you don’t have to give me any credit. I e-helped is all. You did the work and you are disciplined and consistent. We will get you rollilng again in no fucking time.
Need to talk about new gear, esp new bench shirt…
Who was the dude form Illinois BTW?
HELL YEAH DF! Way to KILL it brotha! Motivating stuff!!
Awesome lifting with you man, you put up some killer numbers we will definitely have to do it again sometime! Oh yea your family is awesome consider yourself very lucky to have people like that in your life.
Awesome numbers Dixie. Now enjoy the rest of your summer before you have to head back to school.
PeteS - coach you definitely deserve some credit, dont shortchange yourself. The guy from Illinois was named Chris, something or another, his last name is escaping me at the moment. Absolute monster, and great guy.
pbclax - thanks man, now its your turn to step up on the platform
elmore - man you smashed your goal, it was an honor to lift with you. It was a blast, and we will do it again.
killerb - my friend I plan on it, thank you, and its your turn.
Hell yeah Brother, nice effin job. Now if only i could catch up to you sooner rather than later.
