DCA- I was noticing your setup before the bench. I know you are supposed to get way up under the bar when setting up, but any further back and you are going to have to move the rack or knock out the wall…lol.

Solid work!
I know - I wish my legs were shorter, then I wouldn’t have to go so far. As long as I’m wishing, I’d like the obvious thing…
I was strolling through the house, as the Charming Albino is wont to do, stopping occasionally to try out a little Charming Albino bodyweight squat when I hit upon an interesting combination of limb-ular jusxtapositions (lips and fundament were not involved…nor labia). Ordinarily I turn my feet out very wide, about 90 degrees relative to one another when squatting and track my knees over my toes. I tried in one variation turning them out somewhat less and letting my knees track outside of the toes. I felt a LOT more glute activation doing this, but also a lot more knee stress (surprise, eh?). I ran breathlessly to the garage to attempt this new contortion under load. Felt pretty springy in the hole. Gonna try this out tomorrow on the work sets.
Isn’t it interesting that the plural of labia is labia? Just like sheep. There’s a joke in there somewhere about Welshmen and New Zealanders, I think. Might take some digging though.

I’m gonna need video.
Of the squat, not the Welshmen and sheep.
Perhaps labia.
I can’t give you a picture of labia.
Just writing the word requires me to leave my computer, go to the dining room and take deep breaths while sitting head down with an ice-filled towel on my neck. Imagine what an actual picture would do to me…
On meat’s program I was only doing lower body stuff once in a 6 day period. I could afford to hammer the bejeezus out the p-chain because I was going to have 5 or 6 days to recover. 5-3-1 the way I’m doing it hits p-chain twice in an 8 day period and I have 4 days to recover between lower body sessions. I think I’ve been putting too much assistance work in and not recovering from it. The indicator is that my bench and press are going up, but squat is suffering in form, which typically happens for me when I start doing too much. I need to consider the main movement as my volume movement, up the intensity on assistance and simultaneously reduce volume. 2x5 or 3x3 with a light finisher I’m thinking.
I’ve started doing more rehab stuff for the shoulder more consistently this last week from suggestions on another forum and from seeing improvements in people in this one and Powerful Women. It’s making a difference, particularly the 1-arm straight arm lat pulldown and the scap protraction/retraction exercises.
Actually, I’m hitting the whole shoulder complex. Rotator cuffs, behind the back shurgs and other tarp work, and scap work. Throw enough mud and some will stick…

Man, those deep dives w/ paws were da bomb! I bet the cougar demographic is drooling all over their monitors, dude! Great, job!
I did a little test and noted the view count on one of the vids. Then I viewed it from within the youtube web environment. The count incremented when I went back to the MyVideos page. I never stated my age or gender in the account profile page. Gender defaults to female. I suspect age defaults to 65+ insofar as it concerns the Insight functionality. I assumed/deduced the views were from France from other information.

…I am the French cougars…
I feel so conflicted.
I don’t like that story as much as the old French lady one. Let’s just stick with that.
