Just seen Jigsaw…and weeeeeeeellllllll I must say I think this was definitely my least favourite saw film…the plot twists are just too silly now (even by saw standards)…I barely maintained wood tbh!!!..6/10.
eh, what?
You know…good old fashioned todger wood!
did the other Saw films give you wood?
Yes, sir!!!
I didn’t really pay attention to the average score portion of RT until I read about it in an article. There’s nothing to suggest that a Metacritic-like function even exists. The big “tomatometer” is seemingly the only relevant score.
In any case, it’s why I don’t really use the “tomatometer” to learn about whether I should watch a film or not. I prefer the short little “critics consensus” that is underneath the the tomatometer.
Honestly, I’ve been using this thread. Without some external input the only things I would ever watch would be the discovery channel and nature documentaries on netflix.
Thor Ragnarok 8.5/10
Fucking great movie, perfect amount of self-awareness/humor/camp. If you found yourself wishing you could take your kids to see Deadpool but they weren’t old enough, this movie would be perfect. I saw it with my 12 year daughter and she was laughing hysterically.
Baby Driver ~7/10
I loved every part of the movie except the gun shots that were in time with the music. I actually found that distracting but acknowledge that it was part of the director’s vision.
Justice League
Awful. Fails on every single level. Almost as bad as Blade Runner 2049.
1/10
Not even a 3 for my gal, Gal?
The 1/10 was for that one brief ass shot.
i was really looking forward to it.
I mean, how brief are we talking here…? That woman is gorgeous.
I watched the It remake.
Pish. Just utter pish.
Not sure what ‘pish’ means - assume not good. Can’t be any worse than the original, though…
Heard this…they simply fell too far behind Marvel and their universe, Marvel took the time to develop all of their characters over the last couple years and it has obviously paid off. The Justice League stuff just feels rushed, trying to keep up with the Avengers and all that…luckily I’ll still watch it, ha, I enjoyed suicide squad for what it was as well, but I will now be waiting for it to be done in theaters.
Thor Ragnarok
More like Ragnarockandroll! Amirite?
Ahem…
It’s brilliant. Ten thousand times better than the shite first couple of Thor movies, and arguably the best Marvel movie so far (still think I prefer the first Guardians movie but I’d need to watch Thor again to be sure).
It’s funny as hell, and from out of nowhere it even has a banging synthpop soundtrack!
If I was one of the dudes who’d directed one of the first two Thor movies, I would accept ritual suicide as the only way of saving face.
EDIT: now I think about it, the only thing I didn’t like about it was that now I’m gay for Chris Hemsworth. I am, like, super gay for Chris Hemsworth.
The list of people I am now gay for is:
-Chris Hemsworth
-Henry Cavill
-Chris Evans
I seem to have a thing for the current crop of action stars.
What about channing tatum?![]()
Am I the only person that liked the first 2? (The second one is better)
Guardians 1 > Thor 3 imo. They’re close, though.
For once it wasn’t the same script. I’m so bored of superhero movies.
Bad guy enters > good guy loses > good guy whines loses hope > world suffers > good guy finds it > big battle > good guy wins. #yawn
Thor 3 didn’t really follow that script and was actually enjoyable. I mean, it did, it just had a better story in between.
Also… I didn’t realize there was a Thor 2. I just skipped it altogether. Sounds like it sucked. Unless, of course, Natalie was looking good in it?!!
