One of my teachers says repeatedly that the first one is one of his favorite movies. Is it worth it?
Watch it, like the poster above said, it’s hilarious.
Besides, he did nothing wrong.
This.
That movie was really revealing and crafty in its symbolism all while slightly disturbing me to some degree.
That one scene where you could hear folks screaming when they woke up and realized how far down they had been placed kind of stuck with me.
Also tripped me out just how deep those cells went down.
Uhh…if he just spontaneously masturbated in front of female colleagues, he did something wrong. I just appreciate funny. Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson are both pretty shitty people, but I love their work.
I’d give it an 8.5/10.
Well maybe you’re right, I was under the impression that he asked for consent, and it was understood that they were free to leave anytime.
Somewhat similar to my own sex encounters, except for actual penetration of the girls.
I’m glad you liked it.
Most people that watched it seemed to like it, except for this mouthbreather at work who called it a “commie propaganda piece”.
LMAO!
I’m not going to say what he did was “right”, but I don’t buy any kind of real harm or trauma. I think most adults understand that going to a private hotel room with another adult means that certain activities may be on the menu that wouldn’t be if you just kept the meeting in the lobby or at the hotel bar.
Sometimes this can be a little more unusual than you expected. People are kinky, and following adults up to their hotel room is a good way to find out what those kinks are. You may be in for shocking depravity from a recent divorcee you met at the bar on a business trip, or you may be in for watching a man beat his meat.
I suppose it will largely depend on the kind of person you follow into their hotel rooms.
My man, if your sex encounters are similar to the allegations against Louis, you need to step your game up a notch or five. I take less issue with Louis because it was more of a weird fetish thing than a violent assault, and because he issued what seemed like a genuine apology.
I think famous people have spent years being able to lure people into compromising situations because of their power, influence, or talent. But admiring someone’s talent doesn’t mean you expect certain things to happen, like someone stripping down naked and jerking off in front of you. There are more allegations than that hotel story, too, and he seems to have addressed all of them, not just the one that makes him sound not-so-bad. Like I said, I’ll still watch Louis, but just because I find the “crucify-him” crowd to be overboard, doesn’t mean I’m going to jump halfway across the earth to the “it’s cool to jerk off in front of anyone” crowd.
I don’t watch movies often so just got around to watching Inception. I thought I remembered people saying it was really confusing when it first came out. I thought it was pretty easy to follow, maybe our public ed system is failing too many people.
Just watched this last night 7.5/10 is my opinion. I like movies that end not how one would expect. It was something different, and I think that is rare.
Additionally, Kevin Garnett did a good job acting for a pro basketball player. Usually when people try acting coming from sports it is horrific. Kevin played a believable Kevin.
Yeah, I liked it too, but I was expecting to be on the edge of my seat the whole time with anxiety while watching Sandler’s character make bad decision after bad decision. I didn’t get any of that so it was a bit of a letdown.
I did like the ending. I didn’t expect it, but at the same time I wasn’t surprising either.
I thought it was a parable about toilet paper running out. What do you do when that happens? You take a dump on a dude’s face.
You got it all wrong, my man.
It’s about figuratively shitting on your fellow man by hoarding all the toilet paper, so that later on you can wipe your ass when you’re done LITERALLY shitting on him (your fellow man).
It’s a very complex matter. And stinky, too.
Onward
I’m a huge Pixar junkie, so when I saw this randomly pop up on Disney+, having heard nothing about it, I was intrigued. Turns out it’s a super fun movie. It seems almost like Pixar looked at Netflix’s Bright, said “We can do this concept better”, and then did. Also, as a tabletop RPG fan, there was a lot of nostalgia in it for me. Solid 8/10 in my books.
Yeah, Onward was great. Kids loved it, wife and I laughed a lot and enjoyed it too.
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Still one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time.
The soundtrack alone is awesome.
Finally watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Had no idea Terry Gilliam was the director.
Overall it was pretty awesome, tripping scenes were definitely the best.
