The Return of Even More Movies You've Watched This Week III

I think I saw something from Chris Hemsworth wanting to do Three Amigos.

Back w/ the Soviet stuff- Bed and Sofa (Room 1927)

You should also watch “Twelve chairs” by Mel Brooks which stars among other notables of comedy a young Frank Langella. Based on the novel by Ilf and Petrov it’s best described as a great Russian movie made by Americans.

Exit Wounds is back on Netflix!!!

10/10

Especially the parts where:

a belly punch sends the sumo guy flying through the air,

Strutt drops his gun because the other guy runs out of ammo,

“What am I, a shit magnet?”,
“You see this face?, this is a happy face”, and the way the camera pans along with the tone in his voice… priceless
“Fucking neanderthal”,

Blah blah, many, many more great quotes

10/10 no troll. Believe me, you’ve gotta see it to believe it, one of these decades it’ll get the recognition it deserves

Death Wish 3 is one of my favorite movies. The rest just weren’t as funny.

You sound like my brother

I guess it’s because that part where he blew up Danny Trejo was one of those rare times watching a movie where I laughed so intensely I almost passed out

Unfortunately the cliff notes version didn’t do it justice

Edit:

Eh, it’s not as good when you’re expecting something hilarious…

My wife and i watched it the day they put it on Netflix. Don’t forget that the movie starts with Stevie taking down a helicopter with a handgun. BOOM.

Getting ready to pull out the number one flick in my winter rotation again: the 1984 kurt russell version of The Thing.

It’s like McDonald’s. If that’s what you’re in the mood for, it delivers. We saw it on the weekend and enjoyed it.

Mads Mikkelsen is great. I think I watched this on Amazon (tough to remember what’s Netflix and what isn’t). He’s the only survivor of a plane crash and has to survive off the land until he’s rescued, or risk a Treacherous Journey™ to safety. That’s basically the whole movie, and he probably says 100 words the entire 90 minutes. It’s similar to a lot of survival-type movies, but also unique because of the setting, the circumstances he finds himself in, and the choices he makes.

Mads delivers a pretty awesome performance, so it’s worth a watch for sure.

I really liked this movie as well. Couldn’t get the wife on board though…she has a compulsion to compare every ‘action’ movie to John Wick now. LOL.

Edit: I was thinking of Polar, also on Netflix, but this one was a good watch as well.

I’m actually excited for the new Terminator movie after the latest trailer.

Alas, I also have much suspicion that all of Arnold’s scenes in the movie are in this trailer.

I’m waiting to hear if it’s good or not.

Finally saw John Wick 3. Fantastic. Everything I enjoy about cinema. Violence that is so over the top it’s actually hilarious. When dude killed a bunch of guys by having a horse kick them to death I just about lost it laughing.

Terminator: Dark Fate

I dunno what to say, man. This movie has a plot even dumber than Terminator: Genysis. I wouldn’t have cared if they bothered building characters but that’s probably too much to ask for these days.

Linda Hamilton plays an old woman. Arnold plays Sad T-800. The new chick plays a Mexican. The guy that plays the new Terminator is so awful that fucking Jai Courtney would have done a better job. The half-cyborg chick is the only thing good about this movie.

There’re a couple of good action sequences in the first half hour. Then it all goes to shit. 5.5/10

Oh, one more thing. Fuck whoever redid the main theme from T2. It was horrific.
