Brie Larson can’t act, she never could. Also, her face is annoying. Also, Captain Marvel is a shitty movie. Also, that was expected as every single Marvel movie is the same shit over and over and over. Also, Disney should burn to the fucking ground.
There’s almost no reason to go to the movie theaters these days as an adult. The whole thing is for man babies that enjoy silly superhero pop culture geek shit.
I’d say make your own conclusions - to me, it starts to get less interesting. Season 4 is the pinnacle of the show though .. best “villain” by far and a great story arc.
-group meet ups, where everyone engages in bro hugs. They drive off on their bikes and meet up with Mexicans. Drug deal goes bad, a standoff happens and they shoot at each other. They drive back on their bikes, more bro hugs, end episode.
I have invented a law of TV shows I call the iron law of soap. Any TV show, regardless of genre, setting, actors, writing, or anything else will eventually devolve into a soap opera if it is left on the air long enough.
Comedies and highly episodic shows where there is very little arc over a season are more resilient to this, but even they will eventually succumb. Sons of Anarchy took about 3 episodes.
I’m binge watching the Young and Dangerous movie series (Hong Kong 1996-2001).
Before the Marvel Universe, there was the Young and Dangerous Universe, with 5 sequels to the original movie, one prequel and 3 character spin off movies all leading up to the final movie which featured fucking Sonny Chiba. And they were GREAT(except for part 2 and the prequel). Directed by Andrew Lau, director of Infernal Affairs and cinematographer for the first segment of Chungking Express.
The street vernacular and gang details were so realistic that the censors in Asia started censoring normal dialogue and anything to do with normal gang ceremonies. Fuck, they even pixelated certain tattoos that were universally recognizable to Chinese people who knew what they meant. There were 2 endings for screening in countries outside of HK. The alternate endings were a couple of screen stills with the faces each of the main characters with the words " XXX was charged with rioting and voluntarily causing grievous hurt and sentenced to 20 years in jail." appearing even though they kept coming back in the next movie with no break in continuity from the previous movie. We had to buy the bootlegged vcds to watch the real endings. They did this for the first 3 movies before the movies after that were banned altogether.
What these movies did that appealed to the masses was show a very realistic picture of the environment an underclass of youths grew up in, potraying the main characters as similar to cowboys living between two corrupt and self-serving systems(the gangs and the government, both portrayed as very similar entities) whose main motivation for their actions was an unspoken code of loyalty to one another. The later sequels were middle fingers to corrupt governments in Asia.
These movies were very flawed, but they were GLORIOUS. No one will have the balls to make anything like these again.
Anna is so hot that if I had to endure unspeakable horrors like watch Captain Marvel again just for a night with her, I would do it. She’s that hot. The movie’s alright. It’s silly and mildly entertaining. Exactly what we’ve come to expect from Luc Besson. But Anna… oh God where did they find this chick? She’s an angel sent straight from heaven to bring joy, peace and love to mankind. There will be no more wars once people of all nations set eyes upon, and bask in the light of her beauty. At least before she reaches 35 yrs old. Anna…
Thor plays a metally disabled person and Valkyrie plays a woman in a movie that’s really, really, I mean REALLY afraid to be offensive. Will amuse 5yr olds.
I’m watching it now. I knew a little about it but never watched it. Now Macross on the other hand . Along with Gatchaman (not sure if that’s spelled correct) those i watched the heII out of as a kid Just so you know allot time allot of anime series get modified when they cross the Pacific.
